Title: Telegraph Cryptic Crossword Post by: neville w on Wednesday, May 30, 2007, 12:11:28 I have a bash at it most days with varying success. today's is a git though. (for me)
I might complete it once a week but generally get within a handful of clues - dependent on how much time I have available. Sometimes I get so stuck it would be good to have someone to help  I can do cryptic crosswords.....although don't do them now due to time constraints. All compilers are a bit different although there are certain rules which are universal. I'm probably a bit rusty. I worked out how to do them when I was stuck in some Allah forsaken railway junction in North Africa....with a day to wait, and nothing but an old copy of the Times available....so I thought I'd try the crossword.....somehow it fell into place. Title: Telegraph Cryptic Crossword Post by: genf_stfc on Wednesday, May 30, 2007, 13:19:56 actually, think i have got it now its the other way round, not a book - ZEALOT: = fanatic; strongfeeling = zeal; concludes with book = OT for Old Testament I'm guessing. i'm betting no other clue crosses the first letter in the grid either...
