I don't think Parkin is captain material although Shearer, for example, qite blatantly is! I do prefer a defender or midfielder to be one though! I am not really sure we have aborn captain in the side at the mo though!

Personally i do not beleive that Beckham should have been captain for England but that is something else. I was always captain of my football teams and i think it important that you are a natural at it otherwise it does affect the rest of your game and we see so often here!
