There are plenty of fans there that, like you and I, are genuine people that scrimp and save for a match day ticket only to be fucked over.

Dagenham & Redbridge fans will have a wry smile on their faces I'm sure.

I don't want to see them out of business and I wish them luck in finding investment but they really didn't deserve to get promoted into the football league a few years back.

Their fans are supporting a team which have no place in the football league so in that respect I have no sympathy for them. So what if it's not their fault for supporting STFC?

If we were discovered to be cheating through any means, I would find it seriously difficult to continue to support STFC. It would be wrong and hypocritical of me to condone such behaviour through my continued support; but this is what the Boston fans have done.

The whole thing makes a mockery of the football league and it's punishments, especially those that have been doled out to us over the years.

They're a nothing club, I couldn't give a toss that their demise would assist our promotion push, I simply detest the fact they maintain a place in the football league based on deceit, cheating and lack of justice.

The difference being that Boston's fans have known the club was guilty but equally their have not been punished - yet it doesn't bother them.

We were guilty, the owners at the time were condemned and more or less all forced out and we were harshly punished. We suffered.

Boston fans haven't...now they will. Call it karma.

It's nto the fans fault, I'm not suggesting it is - I just don't have a great deal of sympathy for them. I do feel a little sorry for them but then I don't really give a fuck about football outside Swindon :)

The point I'm trying to make is that Boston going out of business is, in my opinion, the punishment they get - whether deservedly or not - for escaping demotion despite being found guilty for illegal payments which resulted in them achieving promotion.

The only similarity between us and them is the crime, the punishment is vastly difference. That's what irks me most.

I agree with you sonic that they didn't deserve to get promoted to the football league. The karma part, that their continuing financial irregularities has affected the football and is partly responsible for their probable relegation this season is fair enough.

Wishing that they go out of business seems like hoping for the death penalty on someone who's stolen a loaf of bread to me.

I don't wish/hope/want them to go out of business, I don't really mind if they don't go out of business. I'm just saying that I think going bust wouldn't be entirely unjust given their past.
