I want to see it as well but given that every film I've wanted to see in the last few months has only been on at arthouse cinemas, I'd imagine This is England will be no different.

I've been waiting to see it for ages to, checked all Swindon listings for next week showings and it's not on.

Depends on the distribution company, as it's unlikely to be a large company there will be a limited audience and only arthouse cinemas will show it as the chain cinemas won't make much out of it. There's a German film out at the moment called The Lives of Others which won some Oscars but isn't on at the Odeon/Cineworld et al.

Anyone been yet?  I went yesterday and it's good but not great, although there are some decent performances in there and the soundtrack is :advercool:

yeah ended up finally watching this yesterday, its fairly good, dont think its quite deserving enough of all the hype though. solid film all the same

how long has that greenbridge cunting cinema been an empire joint, i came back from uni the other week and went to take my bird, had to pay for her bastard ticket as her cinema pass for cineworld was obviouly useless  :evil:

The one in west swindon is still a cineworld. They can't have both in the same town.

yeah we ended up there after, but its not as good, wasnt showing stuff that had been released that thurs, that the greenbridge one would have

and being from other side of town, means i have to drive and thus cant drink  :(

I watched the other night on alluc.org - it was a pretty decent film... I thought the film had a lot to say yet failed to deliver in some sections - but it was a very good watch all the same.

ace film, made me laugh and almost cry. i wish woody was my mate, he seemed proper sound.

i liked it when they smashed up the house in costume, chucked a brick out the already broken window and kicking the fireplace

Some brilliant performances from Thomas Turgoose and Stephen Graham.
