floyd mayweather vs oscar de la hoya. lb 4 lb best vs 6 time title holder. i cant wait for this, and even better, it seems to be on normal skysports (2). i wish it was sooner i can't wait for this. any boxing fans got an opinion on the outcome? i'd love it if de la hoya won, mayweather speaks so much bollocks and is such a cunt. whereas de la hoya is one of them icons, proper integrity and honour sort've fella. saying that he's well old now, this will probably be his last fight and mayweather is undefeated in 37 and has that blurring handspeed. saying that he's never really fought a proper boxer like de la hoya unless you count judah who is a bit of a nobody really, nowhere near de la hoya. plus mayweather has had lots of problems behind the scenes ditching his old man as a trainer and going with his uncle instead, whereas de la hoya will be in the shape of his life. im thinking of a tenner on de la hoya, but i think FMW might be a bit too much for him... Post by: mattboyslim on Friday, April 20, 2007, 12:17:27 Corr, I'd forgotten about this one, I like my boxing although not really a proper fan, wish I had sky as this match sounds awesome - the lighter weights are much better IMHO for the speed, just can't help feeling such a great fight on paper could eb a real disappointment in the ring. From my limited knowledge I fancy De La Hoya on experience alone.

Have to agree Strood hate Mayweathers trash talking hes so full of it but at the same time hes one hell of a fighter but then look at De La Hoya's previous fights and this ones going be fantastic, I will be definitely backing De La Hoya I hope he can end Mayweathers record 8) Title: fight of the century... Post by: strooood on Friday, April 20, 2007, 16:50:20 nah DLH got rid of him so then snr turned up at jnr's and expected to train him for the bout but he was already being trained by his uncle, so there's a bit of tension in that camp. lets hope it fucks his chances.
