Post by: jimbob on Wednesday, March 7, 2007, 11:06:26 Correct me if I'm wrong but to my knowledge, he is still vice captain - am i right? if so, usually when club captain is unavailable, then doesn't the vice captain take over? e.g. lampard from terry at chelsea. I'm sure earlier in the season, (I think under the midgets management) he took the captains armband and I remember him putting in a lot more effort (or was that more to do with the midget??)

Unfotunately he may only have been given that title to serve as motivation, add that to his experiences with his illness, you would expect him to be a strong leader.
