I'll be up for a protest. I won't be going to games anyway. What has one got in mind? Anything short of I.D. and I'm in.

I have the organisational skills of a mentally challenged gnat but I'm willing to support anyone with any donkey work, can't chuck much money in though!

I agree, we need to be in numbers and ensure a good turnout, we don't want to provide any ammunition for the board

It needs to be co-ordinated through one source, obviously it is not being done through an official body so needs to be an individual or two

I'll be serious to help. Like I said I won't be goign to games so might give me more time. Also college isn't back on for many weeks so I don't have any pressure to study at the moment and planning won't be a problem because of that.

Sit in is a goood idea actually not something I've really thought of, Fred I agree that it needs one central organiser, one unified message is needed because we can't afford to give mixed messages

The perfect opportunity has presented itself thanks to the inclement weather last week.

We must do something at the fans' forum. This is the ideal moment to register our discontent with the board's refusal to negotiate without affecting matters on the pitch. Many important people at the club will be present and with significant numbers on our side, they can't but fail to notice just how strongly we feel.

Just a thought, is there any relatively unused STFC messageboard or forum anywhere that protest efforts could be coordinated on. I'm wary of using this board for example as it could cause Sonic and Whits some grief which may be a bit unfair.

If it's not libelous, then it shouldn't be a problem. Unless violence or criminal damage was talked of, but we're not talking about that

Basically, done within the framework, there is fuck all they can do about it (the club, the police).

Organisers have to put their name to any organised march/protest - and any consequent damage, caused by anyone involved, is on the organisers heads.

Saying that, there's no reason for this to be violent whatsoever. It's just that you never know if one or two go OTT

My idea would be to boycott the match Saturday .. and instead march around town .. starting at the trust office and ending at 5 o clock outside the Directors area ..

Without wishing to be over cynical, wouldn't it be better to put protest plans on here - it is far more public and the catchment for a post would be higher

anything that takes place during a game wont get everyone who backs the cause involved.

Well the idea of a march would be similar to the march we had when we were demoted .. it would make the papers - fans making up banners to support the demo  - Swindon not Chippenham! for example

.. until people realise how close this club is to being taken away from us instead of making jokes then we are at real risk of having no football soon as no one made a stand in time
