Your having a laugh kid, 100k in the road your in is excessive.  Id get you about 85k tops

The return is £450 a month and an investor would go for that

for your area I would go to taylors in west swindon, they seem to have the area pretty much sewn up.

Just watch the valuation......if you want a quick sale I can talk to investors on a price

Not bothered about how quick tbh, just want as much as possible. I bought it through taylors, so probably best to go back to them?

Post by: Arriba on Thursday, February 8, 2007, 11:54:47
if it were me i'd go for one of the smaller agents, reason for this is they have fewer houses to sell so will push yours harder.but having said that if the property is good enough it will sell itself anyway.
the reasons i'd not go for connells are, they were meant to meet prospective buyers at my home and never turned up!after i'd left messages for calls to be returned, not once were they!
lost my mortgage details!never asked me for a key when completion had been set!
agree about their conveyancers too as they were slow to say the least.

good luck, and be prepared for fucking stress!

You should move up north - I just missed out on a 4 bed, 3 storey terrace for £129k, 0.1 mile to train station, 0.2 miles to city centre shopping.
Should've offered a bit more

I'm just trying to figure out what the Birmingham market is like - I'll need to move there in September and having only rented in Studentville there before (over priced rent) I've no idea what I can get - I'm thinking of buying asap but will need to rent for 6mnths first I guess.

Bargain!! I bought my current one for 88k (on the market for 90) nearly three years ago. Is it worth letting out? Or is it not worth it as I want to release equity, and get a new place. Whats the renting market like at the mo?

Bushey Boy, do you want my 2 bed in town centre for £130K?

You could easily make the attic into a 3rd bedroom - it already has floorboards and everything. go on buy it.

To be honest Ash, its a whole new ball game buying and selling. It was bad enough buying my first place. So not sure how much the going rate is for fee's etc. David Wilson homes recommended him to me, so we'll see. My independant mortgage advisor is going to look aswell, so we'll see I guess.

I've not had any problems with my solicitor and I'm due to exhange this afternoon. *touches wood*

He's been very good, I've not had to phone him once to chase anything.

It's Nick Duff at Bower and Bailey (Bristol), his usual rate is £650 + VAT but he's doing mine for £425 8) That's only buying though, I'd imagine it would be slightly more if you're selling as well.

I'm just about to do the fascia and guttering aswell so that'll be new.

To be honest mate you will get more on the open market than through me.  If you are happy to take an offer I would be interetsed but quite simply im a bit of a c*nt as would offer well under.

Stick it on market and see as sounds nice and that road just off of milton will go quickly
