Title: Families Post by: Bushey Boy on Monday, December 25, 2006, 23:51:45 I get on with my sister very well, and my mum but dad I dont get onwith apart from a professional business relationship. Realised today families arent that bad, got soem really thoughtful presents which shows they do know me a little bit. Im gonna make more effort with family in 2007, anyone else get a wake up call today and realised what they have???
Title: Families Post by: Simon Pieman on Tuesday, December 26, 2006, 00:03:48 Sounds a bit corny but seriously try and make an effort. Unfortunately it was an illness that got my family and I opening up to one another. We always got on well but didn't really express how we felt.
At least some good things can come out of the bad :| Title: Families Post by: DV on Tuesday, December 26, 2006, 00:04:26 Just made me realise I really dont like mine!!!
Ok, maybe not that I dont like them....I barely have anything in common with any of them...and apart from my gramp I very rarely even speak to or spend any time with any of them despite the fact I live with my parents!!! Title: Families Post by: Bushey Boy on Tuesday, December 26, 2006, 01:08:40 Will take that on board si pi, DV thats shocking considering you live with them.
Title: Families Post by: DV on Tuesday, December 26, 2006, 01:10:45 I know, we tend to avoid each other pretty well....

Title: Families Post by: Bushey Boy on Tuesday, December 26, 2006, 01:33:51 fair play mate, how did it go? feel for you today mate
I went to my sisters she cooked a mean feast! Title: Families Post by: Simon Pieman on Tuesday, December 26, 2006, 01:49:05 It went alright actually. Grub was good, the old dear enjoyed not having to cook. I've told Rich he can do it next year though that should be interesting, haha!
Times like these you realise how much you miss your family. It'll be good if you take up your own advice Bushey, but only because you want to. DV is a miserable cunt anyway  Title: Families Post by: DV on Tuesday, December 26, 2006, 01:50:17 tell me something I dont know....

It hit home when instead of my Dad cooking a huge fry up for Xmas breakfast I had 3 bottles of Sol and 3 bacon sarnies. (Which I have to say made a nice change :? Half my family lives in Yorkshire and half lives in the North Eat so I struggle to even remember a lot of people.
The only exception is my Aunt, Uncle and 3 cousins who live in maidenhead, but I haven't seen them for about 8 years! Having said that I'm hopefully meeting up with my cousin Zoe in London in January. Despite having not even heard from eachother for years and hardly really knowing eachother we started chatting on myspace and msn like we knew eachother inside out which I guess is what I love about family. Title: Families Post by: flammableBen on Wednesday, December 27, 2006, 00:45:53 Sorry r4e, but fancying your cousin is a bit weird.

Title: Families Post by: Sade on Wednesday, December 27, 2006, 12:58:55 I'm very lucky because I'm close to all my family,I sometimes take it for granted I think but deep down I do appreciate it :D We all live in wiltshire in the same town so its easy to meet up and stuff. We always have a huge party boxing day like we did yesterday, and everyone comes. My Grandad is the main man,he cooks the food and puts the fire on bless him 8) Theres usually about 35 of us
Its noisy and messy but I would'nt have it any other way. Christmas will never really be the same because we don't have gran anymore, she passed away in 2000 from cancer. Alot of people can relate to those kind of situations. Its quite hard. Title: Families Post by: oxford_fan on Wednesday, December 27, 2006, 13:01:05 the old cancer seems to be getting alot of people, someone should try and find a cure for it
