start then run type "cmd" when you get the black screen it should be pointing towards c:\documents and settings\user or something like that. type "cd.." then again "cd.." now it shoud say c:\> you now need to find your football manager file. this is normally in program files so type "cd program files" (you can check your folder names by typing "dir" at any time) if you have installed to the normal directory type "cd sports interactive" now type "cd football manager 2007" then type "fm.exe --cache_skin=[0/1]" the game will now start Once the game has started go into Preferences and then Display and Sound. Tick "Use Skin Cache" and it should work from desktop everytime.......... *Have you got the demo on your computer? Could try uninstalling that, then reinstalling the full game. *Could try using a no-cd patch to see if that helps.
