I think the idea is fantastic in principle. I for one will be wearing orange. But i am still slightly concerned. People who read these message boards or are a member of the trust know about the idea, but there are a large chunk who dont.

Orange is a great choice as it stands out, but not many people will own an orange top and how many people will be willing to fork out money for one. I can see there being a good couple hundred people wearing the orange tomorrow but not much more than that.

I can then see the board being smug saying that it was a minority of people wearing orange and its only a minority of people who are against the board. I sincerely hope im wrong and maybe after a bigger awareness saturday more people will join in for future games. I just have my doubts as to how successful it will prove.

Well it's in the adver today (although there's also a piece in there opposing the OR) so that should get us some publicity.

The important thing to remember is that this isn't aimed to be a one off hit, we hope that this will continue match after match, until the board listen to the fans consortium and if they do reject the idea let us, the fans, know instead of rejecting the idea in principle and shouting their mouths off in the press.

As Jan said. This isnt a one off. The Rovers game will be the catalyst everyone who doesnt know what the orange deal is will ask and find out, and then hopefully join in!

Are the nationwide/townend going to be holding up orange leaflets?

Hopefully, they will be distributed pre match, Nationwide is the main aim as it's difficult to see what's going on in the town end from where the Exec area is.

Dont think theres any need to be synical until we see exactly what Saturdays like and as everyone has been saying its just the start, the way this board keep shooting themselves in the foot with there fantastic PR dont be suprised if everyone in the ground Nigel Bennett aside in bright orange and the ground would start to resemble a Holland game, Give us an S the glass is not half empty its half full, the revolution is going to be ace  :beers:

what happens if the club stops anyone wearing orange get into the ground? have you thought of any contingencies?

They cant stop you getting in because of the colour you are wearing. Imagine if they stopped people going in coz they are ging :mrgreen: er!

They are not allowed to remove items of clothing from you full stop.

Like i said, im all for it. Im just voicing concerns as to whether it will work and how it could back fire on us. Im doing all i can to get people to wear orange. 4 people in my team at work dont normally go and i have persuaded them to go tomorrow with there family and friends. I told them to all wear orange because the club have asked all fans to wear orange. A slight lie but it will increase numbers.

Well to be fair staying in the Pub is normally a much better option he just got unlucky.Ive done that on occasion myself. :mrgreen:

well lucky for him the last time was in Amsterdam for a SCotland game and we got fucked 6-0! :shock:

To be fair i did it once. When swindon were losing 2-0 i was laughing in the pub having a great time. When i found out we scored 3 late goals to beat Sheff Wed 3-2 i was crying in my pint. Gutted.
