is mostly funding the proctor loan. Think this helps show how vital this organisation is to the club. if more people join, obviously more money, meaning more money avaliable to get players.

Swindon sign Proctor on loan deal

Swindon have signed striker Michael Proctor on a one month loan deal from Championship strugglers Rotherham.
The 24-year-old's move to the County Ground has been funded largely by fans' group TrustSTFC Red Army Fund.

"This is a great example of fans and the club working to achieve what we all want - success on the pitch," director Bob Holt told Town's website.

Ex-Sunderland forward Proctor has scored just twice for Rotherham this season in 28 appearances.

11 appearances were from the bench!
Hopefully he'll have better service here too.

With any luck the move may just help persuade a few more people to chuck a few quid the way of the old Red Army Fund.

I sometimes think they may have a drop more luck if it was possible to pre-announce a target.   Certainly at other clubs fans have been very generous with their giving if they know what's on the menu.

Wasn't Leon Knight a move made permanent by Brighton fans in a similar sort of way?

exactly my point. It shows that this fund is working and that it isn't there for no reason. It can benefit the club, and if proctor does score a goal which gives us valuable points, then it would be worth it!

Leon Shight- I think he went to Shighton on the basis that he was offered more than S Wednesday offered him, but didn't haer anything about fans involvement- but you may be right.

I met Shittu on a plane going up to Scotland on the Monday after our Play match match against Brighton.  He was cool.  I was sat in Biz class with my Swindon top on and he just taps me on the shoulder and says "You support Swindon" I go "yeah" then he says "I play for QPR" I went "cool" then he walked to his seat.  Brilliant brilliant times.  And what a story may I add.
