meh

Not a particularly great player, but we will need to bring someone in incase injuries occur later in the season. Gone are the days when we had2/3 players on the bench who were registered in case of emergencies.

thought he would be a quality signing when he joined.how wrong was i.
i reckon he would be on a decent wedge so hopefully will free up some dosh for a replacement

Trouble is can't see anyone wanting to take him.....so he'll have to be paid up.....which does the opposite of freeing up dosh, means cutting somewhere else.

i think i'm right in saying that if his next contract is less per week than his current contract, then we'd have to pay the difference. gulp!

what makes you say that?

he's got near enough 2 years left to run, so if he does leave we'll have to pay him up a fair amount. Just like we did King, Bill?

well that isn't really a surprise tbh. he hasn't lived up to early expectations and has had injury problems

it's because he isn't requesting a transfer, but we're moving him on. his contract with us says that he's entitled to earn, say, £2'000 for the duration of that contract, and we'd have to make sure that he does.

i might be wrong though, hope i am!

Until we get someone decent in to run the club, why worry about the money situation? Separate the current owners from STFC. Far more money is heading down the road to Newbury than is going on Gareth Whalley.

So adding in the Contract thingy, King could offer him a contract of £1 per week, and Swindon would have to pay the other £1,499 per week for the next 2 years.

Surely that's just bonkers?
