Title: Blair Sturrock
Post by: DiV on Sunday, December 10, 2006, 13:44:34
I see he was on the bench yesterday, so must have signed some sort contract.

Anyone know if its a short term deal (weeks?) as cover while Peacock and Brownlie are injured. Then he will continue on trail or earn an extended deal

Or has he signed something more long term (months/end of the season) and he's now a proper town player?

It's all been a little bit hush-hush.

It'll be a monthly contract probably.

I've heard its a pay as you play so he can talk to other clubs if need be?

That make sense. Does'nt leave King Luggy open for criticism.

It was him or Jake Hyde for the bench by the sounds of it - 4 strikers injured (if you count Caton and Holgate)

Don't you think it's kind of nephotism ? Ehh...father on the bench and son of the pitch...

nephotism would be if Blair was his sisters son

he's non-contract, which (i think) means that he isn't on a wage, but does get his expenses paid.

good luck with that!

In my experience that means a "pay per play" deal.

No pay if injured etc, so in his best interests to make the big impression.

At least that's what happened to me (not at this level obviously)

sorry lebowski

didnt mean it to sound like that fella !

It will probably be a set figure per game and then discretionary win/goal bonuses etc
