Load of dross. I don't know what it was but..... oh well. I hated the game, the stadium, the fans, pretty much the whole experience. I wont be going back there.

Phil Smith - 3 - I feel a bit harsh, second goal was the other end but he seemed to come along way for it, stop and then their bloke controlled it and went round him, think he was at fault but missed the build up due to the stewards asking us to sit down

Jack Smith - 2 - Nothing going forward, Jame Vincent style backing off his man every time someone ran at him

Adie Williams - 2 - Surprisingly re-active to everything rather than his usual pro-active self

Jerel Ifil - 2 - Typical beast, springs back wins the ball then hoofs it out of touch, or across his own box to a Mansfield player

Andy Nicholas - 2 - Either hoofed it to no one, or passed it to a yellow shirt

Ricky Shakes - 3 - Got to the touch line, a few decentish crosses. Not one of them got attacked.

Curtis Weston - 1 - Didnt touch the ball

Michael Timlin - 1 - Hoof to no one...

Not one tackle from midfield the whole game, I hope Evans gets back soon and stays fit, he is vital. Once he is out we have nothing in central midfield

Sofi Zaboub - 6 - Played well, got the ball. Took people out put in some really good crosses which again didnt get attacked at all. Easily our best player

Christian Roberts - 0 - Strutted round the pitch, didnt challenge for anything, when he got the ball he decided to spin around a couple of times instead of doing, well anything

Lukas Jutkiewicz - 4 - Looked knackered after 20 minutes. Tried to win header and hold the ball up. Did ok but got little help. Also put in some decent crosses which Roberts didnt attack.

Subs:
Royce Brownlie - 1 - Came on and got no service. Dont think he even touched the ball closer to the goal than 30 yards. Went off injured, but hey at least he went for the 50/50 ball in the first place.

Aaron Brown - 1 - You know you're deserpate when you have this guy firstly on the right wing, then upfront

Ben Wells - 5 - Played well when he came on. Some decent crosses which no one attacked. If Saturday wasnt such a big game I'd be tempted to stick him in.

All in all FUCKING SHITE and we missed Peacock, he would at least challenged the defenders and given them some sort of game

Pity he didn't stop the first free kick being taken so quickly.

You raise a good point there, however the free kick was, what in their own half? so there was still alot to do before it hit the back of the net...

They were caught cold with not enough time to get organised and pick up their men.

Told you we would miss Pook if he never played. Was surprised that the always useless Ben Wells came on ahead of him!

Also wasnt impressed one iota with Timlin on his home debut . I believe he was even worse last night.

POOK IN!

Smith 5-one blinding save but a bit hesitant for goal2
Smith 4-worst game I've seen him have for us
Nicholas 4-distribution woeful
Ifil 4-what can you say?2 typical Ifil moments;1st half, superb tackle then squares the ball across his own area setting up their striker;second half robs their player with a great tackle ,saves the corner, turns on a sixpence, leaves their bloke for dead, comes away with the ball then, under no pressure slices the ball into the empty luxury stand!
Williams 5-best defender(not saying much)unlucky not to score luckily when his deflected shot hit the bar.
Shakes 5-looked lively 1st half but faded badly second. One hilarious shot that went for a throw but did get 1 decent cross in which we should have scored from.
Timlin 4-completely anonymous. No better than Pook which says it all really
Weston 4-disappointing.I think I probably expect too uch from him
Roberts 3-showed no desire whatsoever, with more effort he could have got on the end of several good balls we put in the 6 yard box
Jutkiewicz 6-mom.Looked willing plenty of running won loads in the air and a couple of decent efforts(and some weak ones)
Zaboub 5-see Shakes

Weird experience.Early Doors pub which felt like sitting in someones front room.Stewards who were the most ignorant gits I've ever come across and a strange atmosphere among the Town fans-who seemed a bit disorientated.

Adje, I understand you will be making an appearance at the Bristol Rovers game?!

With Tom gone it's a bit quiet up the top of the Town End, we need you back!

Come on, that excuse doesnt wash...

I only play crappy sunday league, but no one at any level of football should get caught our by a quick free kick taken in the oppositions own half

No excuse for Zaaboub. Should instinctively know how/why to delay.... or learn English to understand the defence screaming at him to do his job.

defence should spend les time shouting at Zaaboub and more time marking then.

I could understand it if the free kick was 25 yards from goal, and yes Zaaboub should have stopped them taking it quickly. But surely the defence should know who they are supposed to be marking, surely Sturrock went through this days before the game...surely they know the minute the free kick is given where they need to go and who theyneed to follow.

For professionals that should be basic stuff.

and it is for the back four but not the others who also have to pick up their man ... but they need time to get back which should have been provided by Zaaboub delaying the free kick - For a professional that should be basic stuff.
