Yep , he was one of the superstar of football....The best player in 50's...Maybe only Di Stefano played in the same way like him....

Let's pray for him...

Puskas for Real Madrid in the European cup final of 1960 scored four goal against Eintract Frankfurt to win the game 7-3. What a player with Di stefano as well. His honours speak for itself Hungarian league (5), Spanish league (5), Spanish Cup, European Cup (3), Intercontinental Cup, Olympics.

That Real Madrid v Eintracht game was the very first game I saw on TV when I was 5 years old-Gave me a lifelong passion for football

   I know that Don Rogers rather saw the winger Francisco Gento, of the great Madrid sides of the 50's 60's as being the sort of player to which he aspired.

  Gento was a true winger, taking on a full back crossing and laying on chances for Puskas and di Stefano.....but he also had the ability to score himself either by dribling through or shooting from range.

  Rogers like Gento was 2 footed.....of recen tTown players only Sam Parkin would fit that description of a player who sometimes you wouldn't know which foot they favoured.

I knew a guy who was at that infamous England vs. Hungary game - he used to always go on about it... I didn't mind listening though because it was a good story!

Puskas was a legend.

Absolutely phenomenal goalscoring record, it speaks for itself really. I've seen the game against Frankfurt but can't say I've seen much more of him, may have to go searching.
