I had to laugh when Carlise fans started chanting 'easy' after their goal.

You just scored a goal against the run of play to equalise in the cup match against a team in a lower division than you.....very 'easy'

great letter in  "football" newspaper today...........

SWINDON GET IT WRONG

swindon again grossly underestimated Herefords away following and our fans were still filing in ten minutes after kick-off last staurday. I bought three childrens tickets in advance but we found ourselves ushered into a totally inapproiate area, just yards away from a baying, abusive mob of morons who had no interest in the game.
a steward apologised and admitted they had got it wrong, children should not have to be subjected to such verbal abuse and gesturing.
swindon will find edgar street a far more organised and family-friendly ground.
duncan hill, hereford.

Well done local radio, because we sing and take the piss out of the Away fans means we don't watch the game.

Oh has anybody got the highlights of yesterdays goals as i was too busy calling an Away fan a Cunt.

I hate that "easy" chant.  It's unoriginal, not funny and shit.

I like the bit of noise from the Arkells lot, well done fella's!!

What's that Hereford bloke jabbering on about??  Who wants to be a family friendly club???  Family friendly=Atmosphere free.

He should go down to Reading for a match, he'd like that.

I see on some of the other message boards that the Town fans up near the away fans are taking a lot of flack. Seems unfair to me. Didnt think any of the chants were that bad?

Certainly no 'whos that wrapped around the lampost', or 'I was standing on the corner of the county ground hotel' or 'youre gonna get your fuckin heads kicked in'.

Are the majority of STFC fans turning into Reading mark 2!???

:D Fair play to them I say.

Also in the arkells saturday near me there were 3 very loud carlisle fans sat together and they were so obvious and really loving the fact everyone knew who they were, funniest thing was there were 4 women sat behind them that kept having ago at them and telling them to shutup and they were shouting back :D I wanted to go and join in.Gobshites.I think they got alot of stick when we scored thw winner though. And to be fair to them, when roberts scored the last one they clapped and when brownlie came off.Nothing wrong with a bit of light banter!

More to the point, one of their stands is even called a shed.

Warwick Road (the Townend equivalent) is called the Cow Shed, as that's what it used to be.

i've been reading that as well, fucking joke.

not sat up there for a couple of weeks but it's good fun and pretty harmless banter.

after all, why should away fans be made to feel welcome?

Title: All up near the away fans...
Post by: Samdy Gray on Monday, November 13, 2006, 15:05:57
I sat up there on saturday and wouldn't say it was anything to complain about, just a good bit of banter between the fans.

I suppose most other teams aren't used to it because most clubs put away fans in a stand on their own.

Sitting directly behind the bit in then middle where the Board members and advisors go on the rare occasions they're in attendance can be fun.....leg room is a bit constrained, but a sighting of Diamandis, is exciting, like a bird spotter seeing an Osprey.

Anybody heard any more on this? Had a look on the online seat booker thing and there is a few sold, but I'm assuming they are season ticket holders. Is it definately closed off?

I was looking forward to being up there on saturday, but now it seems it'll have to be either the TE (and have my mates moaning about the view) or Nationwide and kids banging their seats all game.
