Title: Statement from the Trust
Post by: Fred Elliot on Tuesday, October 24, 2006, 21:19:08
released this evening :

Statement from TrustSTFC regarding the departure of Dennis Wise and Gus Poyet.

"We bitterly regret the departure of Dennis Wise and Gus Poyet from Swindon Town as yet another body blow to Town fans who had witnessed a mini revolution on the pitch at the start of the season.

This is the second such blow in little over a month, following on as it does  from Bill Power's disengagement from the club in late September, fans are  once again left wondering what is going to happen to their club.

We would therefore like to make an appeal to both the fans and the club  ahead of a pivotal weekend.

Firstly to the fans, to continue the magnificent support you have shown the  team all season in what is arguably our biggest game of the season so far.

Secondly, we appeal to the club to be as transparent as possible at the AGM on Saturday morning. To that end, given that we understand James Wills will  not be attending, we would ask that his advisor, Mike Diamandis, make himself available to answer questions. Mr Diamandis is afterall the man who brought Dennis Wise to the club in the summer, and as the main decision maker at the club, will be instrumental in the appointment of his successor.

And finally, while we understand and share fans' anger and frustration at the way our club lurches from drama to fiasco and back again, we would urge that calm heads prevail"

I can see another SSW strop coming Mr Davis way. How dare you ask Mr Diamandis to be transparent?

PS. Any timeframe for kicking off the Trust recruitment drive I got emailed about the other day?

Statement from The TEF regarding the departure of Dennis Wise and Gus Poyet.

"We bitterly regretted the departure of Dennis Wise and Gus Poyet from Swindon Town but hey we've slept on it and well fuck it.

This is the second such Fatbury sized bombshell in little over a month, following on as it does  from Bill Power's plummeting from the sky in late September, fans are  once again left wondering what is the soup that they sell at the kiosks? It says soup £1.00 but what flavour is it? I asked for Gazpacho and the girl behind the counter looked at me like I was mental

We would therefore like to make an appeal to both the fans and the club  ahead of a pivotal weekend.

Firstly to the fans, to continue the magnificent support you have shown the  team all season in what is arguably our biggest game of the season so far. It's Lincoln for fucks sake! I can't believe it! Fucking Lincoln's a big game :x  Imps...fucking Gimps more like

Secondly, we appeal to the club to be as transparent as possible at the AGM on Saturday morning. To that end, given that we understand James Wills will  not be attending as he's washing his hair , we would ask that his advisor, Mike Diamandis, make himself available to be shouted at by red faced men brandishing pitchforks. Mr Diamandis is afterall the man who brought Dennis Wise to the club in the summer, and as the main decision maker at the club, will be instrumental in the appointment of his successor.

And finally, while we understand and share fans' bad taste in clothes and music, and are a bit bloody annoyed I can tell you at the way our club lurches from drama to fiasco to crisis to nightmare to doom to I might as well just jump and then you'll be sorry, and back again, we would urge that calm heads get pissed and fall over in the street"

Spacey, that sir was funny.

Talking of the AGM will it just be Sandy & Willie there and SSW still a shareholder or did he sell the lot to that damn company that now owns us?

Cheers Fred,

Any idea who is acting on behalf of Swindon Town Properties Ltd, presumably Sandy in James Wills absence.

On the subject of STPL at the AGM last May was it announced that the company had acquired the majority shareholding in 2004?  I don’t remember hearing anything at the time and if so it appears a bit dubious to say the least.

As the statement reads Dazza

We really feel that in order to glean a true overall picture we need to ask the person who "pulls the strings" so to speak........................ that is why we have asked for total transparecy and for MickyD to be present

hmmmmmm

Just seen this and totally agree with the trust statement - I find it very peculiar that at this pivotal time for the club that James Wills isnt going

I might be talking bollocks but I don't think he does AGM's very often if at all.  That only leaves Sandy Gray on the Board these days in an official capacity to turn up.

with all that is going on you would think the major shareholder would have some kind of representation .. therefore I fully agree with the decision to invite Mike D - the trust is doing some fine work - keep it up

I've never seen James Wills at an AGM as I've posted several times on other threads....... :wall:

  I haven't missed one since Brian Hillier's classic 8:00 am in the Co-Op Hall.on a workday.
