Roberts is out for Saturdays game, due to a damaged knee.
Good news, or bad?

Roberts looked very good early season, ran his heart out, he was a born again Christian (I'm here all week).

Really gone off the boil a bit lately so I doubt he'd have started Saturday anyway. I think people are a bit harsh on him.

Probably a good thing.....means we should definately if only for 30 mins as a substitute, get to see Rhodes have a game.....Looks like if he is out though he wont be starting with three up front as he wouldnt have the bench options to change things near the end if he did.....

I hope this Rhodes guy is good.

Would explain why hes been poor lately ... if he has been injured.

As long as its not a cover story and hes back on the piss!

Id play a 3 man attack ... Rhodes left Fola Middle Brownlie Right and give the Cock a rest!

I expect to see Rhodes start up front alonside Peacock now. A ball winner and a goal scorer. Seems to be Wise's favoured combination.

bad thing personally.each to their own though..i fail to see what peacock brings to the team that roberts doesnt.they have both been as poor as eachother recently and it seems roberts is the one who is suffering for it

I agree Redmacca dont think Peacock has been doing any more or been any better than Roberts, for a guy that is nicknamed by other players to be Dennis's son he doesnt half get made a scapegoat dropped for a few games and when he has to take a striker off he takes off Roberts.  Personally I rate Christian and really hope he comes back to be a big player for us this year, looking forward to seeing Rhodes though all the same.

i think the thing is if peacocks playing shit, hell at least stil lrun around, andhas a certain nuisance factor. If roberts plays shit, he just dissapears altogether.

but i could do that, like i said each to there own but imo  its easy to jumo on roberts back due to his past.peacock is clever he says the right things and the fans love him for it.fair play but its only so long before people will realise that he is only a nuisance

you might, but your not on the books at swindon are you? i agree with you, and think he is a bit of a cart-horse, but if he gives 100% effort all the time then people will love him, because we like to see some-one giving effort.

Peacock should have 6 goals so far this season (1 over the line? and one cert on Saturday).  Either way he's the top scorer with 4 in 13, scored in his last game and linked well with Fola.

lets also not forget his work rate, his ability to win headers, his ability to hold the ball up....if we didnt have him up top it would come straight back at us...

If he's scoring I can't knock him....

and lets not forget this is Swindon. And since we're unable to attract Henry to play for us, Peacock looks okay given the other options.

Granted not the most skilled player in the world, but this is League Two now.

Like that chap in that World Cup in the 60's you mean?  Never did rate him.

Sometimes your lukc is in, sometimes not.  As it is Peacock scored in his last game and has the best ratio so far, plus the best work rate.  He look much better on Saturday when he was allowed to just stick in the middle with Fola doing all the running wide when it was needed.
