It's different to your normal RPG games (which bore me to tears coincidentally) because whilst the game is based around questing, you're not forced to follow a storyline and you're free to do what you want and go where you want, you can even venture into enemy territory if you fancy getting twatted :) Only problem is that it's extremely time consuming, especially if you don't want to be left behind everyone else. It's very easy to get into, especially for the hardcore FPS gamers like myself who wouldn't usually touch an RPG with a bargepole. It's also a gorgeous game. this is me!
