Heard that Sponsorship was coming along somehow but wasnt confirmed.  In the press conference the club confirmed no approach happened from leeds.  At least thats something.  This club is a joke at times, without devlin around they fuck everything up.  so pissed off.

As for his initial investmant - I think he'll allow us to hold onto it as a gesture of good will to the club.

He only really came to us in the first place was as a favour to mark devlin. He has no local or emotional bonds to stay put, so we can't be too suprised that after a mjor event such as this, he has decided to leave. If he takes over another club in the next 18 months though, then we can get angry

to be honest, of the many potential life changing experiences there must be in this world, stacking an aeroplane into some trees is probably right up there in terms of things that give you a differnt perspective on life.  As such what has been quoted on the official site (eventually) seems to go a long way to explaining matters, and I hope that Bill pulls through what must be some pretty horrific injuries and wish him all the best.

However, saying that, all Bob Holt's comments about people being rubbed up the wrong way etc seem to suggest something a bit more conspiratorial - however, he is also, as far as i can tell, a complete and utter fuckwit and I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt on that for the moment in the hope that everything will now be OK...

The explanation of needing 18 months to recover from a plane crash doesn't seem unreasonable to me.   I'm pretty sure his priorities will be to concentrate on getting better and getting his company to a point where someone else can take over and he can retire.

I certainly don't see the possibility that there might be some complex and shadowy conspiracy as grounds for boycotting the club or making protests.

From what I recall, Power paid off the CVA. Either that or the club said they had the funds in place to pay it off.

It's not so much the why he left, as the fact that his leaving has created a potentially big problem.

To some extent the reason for leaving is neither here nor there (from a business point of view)  Fact remains their is a big hole created in the "future" finances of the club and it's running.
