Post by: pauld on Friday, September 8, 2006, 11:55:03
.... puts homous and Branston in the same sandwich? My missus, apparently. Don't know what possessed the woman. Although to be fair, it's actually not bad

If you were a new man you wouldn't let your wife make your sandwiches  :nono:

I'm not sure about that Homous, aside from sounding like something we'd call the lad that did needlework at school it has that aftertaste that wrestles with my taste conscience.

I’ve been sticking it in Tortilla wraps with cheese and meat but it’s become a sorry second to 2 for 1 garlic & chive sauce so is there some other use for it?

Well, I'm not. To be fair, she doesn't normally, this is very much a one-off, for which I am, in many ways, profoundly grateful. But also very suspicious - what huge bill am I about to get landed with that placatory sandwiches seem like a good idea?

I will try that next time I'm passing the old Sainsburys although I think it'll cause a storm at the lunch table where I work.

I'll be the talk of the department.

Roasted red pepper houmous, mixed salad (inc cherry tomatoes) in ciabbatta. With optional salad cream if you want to chav it up a bit and avocado slices if you're feeling posh.
