The problem was .................. I opted out of the co car scheme and now take a very healthy monthly allowance plus 18p per mile fuel allowance.

Only problem was................. no two doors, rag tops etc !

It was between this and the A4 quattro but this gripped me as soon as I drove it !

I'd get the M3.

Scoobie's are mostly driven by chavs these days sadly  :(

Get the E36 M3 Evo though with the 321 bhp engine.

I'm looking at an E46 M3, S2000 or the new Type R next.

I'm on the hunt for a below £700 Astra, Escort or Fiesta myself.  Something cheap to run and cheap to stick back together when things fall off.

I just couldn't face spending close to the price of a house on a piece of machinery designed to get me to work and back.  I also enjoy annoying people in fast cars that insist on getting a close view of my bumper by reverting to grandad driving as and when necessary.

I get great pleasure doing this as well.  Dawdling at traffic lights when they turn green if you have someone in a fancy motor behind you revving his engine is quite enjoyable too.  Oh, and not pulling out for ages on roundabouts can piss them off.  I understand big fast cars for long journeys, but I know people who buy them and then spend their time cruising the city centre at 20mph.   I could do that on a tricycle.

gt four. has to be. (apart from the wheels he's got on it at the mo, 3-spokes should never, ever be put on a car again.)

Grandad driving is ace - it's great winding up the wankers.

Successfully did it to souped up Skoda Fabia in the M6 roadworks the other day.
Slowly overtaking a lorry at about 52 mph when this thing zooms up to about 6 inches from my bumper. Twat. So I then drive at 50mph staying alongside the lorry for the next two miles. We reach the end of the roadworks and the 3rd lane reappears, so off he shoots fat exhaust blaring, doing about 90mph a mile later straight past the copper sat on the side of the road - Woo, Woo, Woo.  :Ride On Fatbury's Lovestick:

Grandad 1, Chav 0

Until then learn to drive and read my window stickers.

Bollocks. You're one of those 70mph middle lane cruisers who are scared to move into the outside lane in case you have to break the speed limit by 3mph to overtake

Post by: Northern Red on Wednesday, September 6, 2006, 10:58:20
I'm getting a bit bored of it actually - I been downgraded on my return to an automatic   Renault Megane 1.6. Boooooo

All I can do is sit in the middle lane. Going any faster requires shovelling coal into the hatch through the front and whipping the hamsters.  :(

However I'm saving up nicely (this one's 44mpg average) and the next one will be just silly.  :D

Don't get me wrong, I find doing less than 80 on the Motorway a chore.  I just despise arrogant fools in crazy cars driving aggressively, so I revert to slower driving, even if I would normally drive at the same pace as them.

I might do 90 on the Motorway, but I would never feel the need to slip stream someone, I'll ease up and keep my distance until they move back over.

I also like to drive around people in the middle lane when there is no need, so I pass them on the outside then let them take over me again and then do it again, just so they get the point that they need to move over.

middle-laners get my goat when they sit there clearly not overtaking anything.

i gesture angrily and sometimes undertake them.

She's a beauty.

Needs better rims though, they don't suit it.

Five spokes don't suit many cars to be honest.
