I am in favour of this minutes silence, an event that's too close to home for comfort.  Hope everyone observes it well.

I have made my views on minutes' silences quite well known in the past.   You have to be very careful in knowing where to draw the line otherwise it makes them meaningless.

That said, I think this is more appropriate than the Tsunami one because, as Jan the Jock says, it is close to home.

I am sure it will be well observed.

Think ots definitely right, especially as I live basically at the end of the runway! I don't think I know anyone who ides, but most of them will have lived about 10 minutes walk away from me, which is scary.

Hope it doesn't end up like last time. :nono

Unless they were Town fans I don't think it's appropriate. Sorry.

I can see why you say that, but considering plenty of people at the game will have known some of the people who died/and or their families then I think it was.
Well observed this time. My god I cringed last time!

A fulltime staff member of the county ground lost a very close relative in the tradgic incident and as half of them lived in Swindon and down the road in Lyneham i think it was VERY appropriate.

I think we should have a minute's silence for the tragic loss of Delia Smith's credibility which sadly is no longer with us after last night's tragic events at Carrow Road
