Title: Cold Remedies
Post by: Ralphy on Wednesday, August 23, 2006, 15:07:26
I have the worst cold ever. I'm sure it's the deadly man flu.

My throat is sore as fuck, my nose is blocked, my eyes watering and i feel knackered.

What is a good remedy to ease my throat and unblock my nose?

I'm currently cooking up a lethal Texan Chili on the hob to blow my face off.

This will sound very mumsy and gay, but here you go:

1) Get your wallet out and down to the nearest Boots

2) Difflam

3) day Nurse

4) Night Nurse

5) If all else fails, take a mild overdose of CoCodomol which will have you asleep and thinking of how many we'll put past Stockport in minutes. It is effectively taking codine...which is morphine...which is heroin, but hey ho....worked for me. :beers:

I have had the same thing for the last week...Sinex spray works well to clear your head/nose but apart from that you just gotta rest and sit tight until it goes away.  I find eating lots of oranges and drinking orange juice often helps........

I've drank 2 litres of Orange juice today and my chili con carne has warmed up nicely so should 'blow' the virus out of me!

Night Nurse at night, a nice hot lemon and honey drink with some sort of pain killer in the morning usually gets rid in a couple of days for me.

Oh yeah, and a spliff.

Meh I've got a sore throat and my nose is running quicker than a black man. Budget Cider and fags might be the way to go.

You have man flu ben.

You just have to ride it's course. No girly Beechams or Night Nurse will stop it.

I ain't giving into man flu. I've gone for the classic remedy. 3 litres of the greatest 7.5% cider known to man - Frosty Jacks and 10 Lambert and Butler. I'm fucking hard.

you can collect tokens on it to get t-shirts, inflatable chairs and baseball bats! Although a t shirt is 20 tokens and as far as I could see you get 2 on a 3litre bottle. That means going through a mamoth 45litres of FJ for a T-shirt. Mental.

My mate had loads of that, nobody else would drink it so I went through quite a lot. It's a period of my life I don't remember much of.

The frosty jack with Lambert & Butler cure is working a treat. I'd recomend it to anybody.
