What the manager said?
As the Bees made the second round Rosenior was deslighted to get through,

"It was a battle."

"We started well and I thought that despite the shootout we probably should have won the game"

"Penalties wasnt something we had worked on in the week, but credit to Swindon they played well and sometimes it just goes you're way, it's the luck of the draw."

What the players said?
Stuart Nelson was happy with his performance in the shootout but conceeded that his saves were just guess work,

"Sometimes in shoot outs its easy to read which way the player is going."

"At the end of the day it's down to luck and I'm glad I guess right!"

Jo Kuffour who was again on the scoresheet said,

"I'm pleased we made it to round two, hopefully we can get even further and play one of the 'big teams'."

What the fans said?

Chris Marden was a happy fan as he left the county ground,

"Theres nothing more thrilling than a penalty shootout which your side wins."

"I though we did brilliantly and deserved to win the game without it having to go through the drama of penalties."

Beats me. Was a very even game and although we were poor at times a lot of the game was in their half

We created far more chances than they did and won the ball much more than they did!

The bouncebackability was excellent after conceeding.  Last seasons squad would have either given up or run out of steam.  This 11 picked themselves up and never stopped running for the full 120 minutes,

If we beat Stockport 4-1 on Saturday I can guarentee the Stockport manager, players and fans will feel that they should've won - it seems the way this season!

It's just what every football fan thinks. Like the season we just stayed up in league 1. A lot of people thought we were really good and just too inconsistent or had lapses in concentration. Truth was, we were shit and only a few players looked good because the rest of the team was cack.

Jeeeez, what cunts!
They had hardly any chances, whereas we did!? We kept the ball well too and created many oppotunities.
They had about two chances in the first half and scored from them....second half they had a shot which Smith did well to save....thats it.
On another day, we would have won by 4 or 5.

i thought they were the better team than us, we were poor. the gulf in class between holgate and onibuje with the rest of the team was obvious and it let us down in patches.

we were not playing football as such, but we played to our strengths- fola's head and brownlie's running. it's all well and good brentford being better than us but if they don't get the ball into "the mix" then it's their loss. i think we were good value for a draw and should have won the game in the last 10 of 90.

have you gone really negative on us?

Thought we were the better side with a much more understrength team than them ... and of course they were from a higher division. We showed good spirit to come back from 2 down ... maybe we were a bit slow starting but the fitness levels were higher than Brentfords. Thought for sheer effort we deserved to win overall

Theres no way that they played better than us! They seemed a good strong side, I'll give them that but last night we gave them a bloody hard game thats why we held on and the game went the way it did.

The fact that their central midfielder went down with cramp after 62 mnutes said everything to me last night.

Nobody seems to have any confidence in swindon do they even listenening to the game on BBC Wiltshire some of the comments that were made were obscene and not something comentators should say. The best one was

(About Onibuje) "One minute he plays good football, the next it seems like he's never kicked a football in his life"  Well something in that region.
