I have been making music for a few years now and normally it's pretty hard to listen to, not cause it's shit omao, just my taste in music isn't to everyones taste.

Anyway, i have just started making this tune, and with it being pretty normal, i thought i'd seek some opinions, no one normally gets to listen to my tunes!

It's pretty raw at the moment, hasn't been mastered, most the sounds are still dry and the construction of tune has barely started, it's work in progress and is only 2 days old.

It's a downtempo tune, which takes about half the tune to progress. Oh, and i don't use samples, it's 100% mine, so no copyrights will be infringed!

Have a listen and post any opinions, be gentle though please!

What sort of music is it? Have you used software with instrument sounds then?

I quite like guitarpro software for working out/viewing tabs for songs.

Sounds like an absolutely perfect sort of tune to have on a snowboarding video, big floaty backside 180s off a massive powder booter followed by snaking sprayey powder turns.

I've been churning out a shit load or lyrics myself lately, if only I could write music. :cry:

I just get a 'transfer.php' file which doesn't work for me.

It's just a downtempo/chillout tune.

It's instrument banks for the non synth sounds, recorded notes if you like, you load it and play it like a real piano, they're recorded at numerous velocities to maintain a real sound.

Although saying that it's a very poor paino i have used for this, when i master it i will use my 1GB Grand Piano.

I've ever used guitar pro, as i can't actually play instruments as such.



Thanks, I can't write lyrics, so maybe we can do some exchanges, although saying that, 99% of my music wouldn't like vocals!

Yeah, can't see any of my lyrics slipping into that tune at all, all my stuff is undoubtedly indie so don't think it would do either of us any good.

A welsh chap I know in London who played in one of the bands on my season told me he'd be happy to help out, so you never know my dream of playing Glasto may one day come true...

I thought it was good, not really my sort of music but it was put together well.

You don't really need to be able to play guitar to use guitarpro (otherwise I'd be fucked as I'm still learning and am shit at guitar) but you can just enter in the chords as they sound and change the tempo etc. The chord library has them all in pre-installed. You can use other instruments like piano and drums if yo ufancy creating something different one day. It's not the greatest sounding software but it's got a lot better though.

Rich is a bassist in a band. He doesn't really write music though  :D
