Post by: Tails on Tuesday, August 8, 2006, 22:21:09
My first time in the town end tonight, really enjoyed it. Thought it was a great atmosphere, what it sound like to anyone who sat in the Nationwide or Arkells?

Honestly, everyone went so mental they missed the ko and were actually worried the goal had been dissalowed. That would have been just our luck.

Well, not anymore.

There was a small cheer in the middle of the Nationwide when the score was corrected ...

I think you should use the scoreboard to chat to the crowd.

stuff like

Hello crowd

Cor that was a good shot

That number 7's a bit of a tosser isnt he

Me and my mate asked the girls next to us if they'd actually kicked off again when we were going beserk

Sadly the girls thought we were coming on to them (need to be more than just a Town fan love) and kept on yabbering away through injury time. I didn't reply

Oh yeah, Sonic, without being pedantic...after the goal the board told me how i could read all about it in Monday's Adver. Obvously this works fine for a Saturday match...

The ref was streets superior to the ref we had at Hartlepool......the ref at Pools was one of the worst refs I had ever seen.

I think that is a fair comment  :D

Yeah, ref wasn't too bad.

Town End looked rammed, still not much noise eminating from it though. I guess thats due to its enclosed nature.

The ref wasn't too bad to be fair. Hes just kept getting in the way all the time.

I said exactly the same thing last night. Refs have no consistency.

Agreed, he was still poor. When we moaned at him he gave us more decisions.

Town End influencing refs.. I like

I'm coming to the conclusion that refs in this league are shite. I was told this was a physical league, whenever we use physical strength we're punished for it!

Yet we seemed to get knocked all over the park last night. It's frustrating but I think it'll be a trend for the season.

Well I ballsed that up, but I'm obv meant to be quoting Tails here.

We're still settling in to the league, we'll be fine soon enough.

The ref wasn't AWEFUL but made some dodgy decisions.

It was a blatant penalty althought I think mr n 30+ is getting carried away by listing all those events!!

ref was shite, he booked about 3 of our players for their first mis timed tackle of the game...

fucking stupid, youd think for the first two weeks of the season we'd get some premiership refs seen as their season hasnt started....

Title: Town End tonight
Post by: McLovin on Wednesday, August 9, 2006, 22:28:47
Premiership refs are worse. They dont understand the physical side of lower league football, and are too quick to book for mistimed tackles...
