Title: Monkfish
Post by: adje on Saturday, July 29, 2006, 17:46:04
I've not seen him,but do people who have consider him a bit of a let down on the evidence so far?I dont do friendlies but already have my tickets for the first 2 home games. What should I expect?Hope it wont be a "Whalley" situation-a player I had massive expectations for last season.

Did better today....had a bit of a mare v Palace....don't go expecting too much though.  Think if you end up in L2 , by definition you're not the greatest....the trick is to weld the individuals better qualities into a team whole.  Seemed to link up quite well with  Sweet Gene Vincent at times.

brown only played 10 mins but he didnt look any better imo..if i had did what he did then only had 10 mins to prove a point i would of at least tried..oh and when the final whistle blew he walked straight down the tunnel didnt even clap the fans

15mins at the end, every1 knows its hard to make a difference in a game in that time, just from what ive seen of both players (obviously seen more of Brown) i would rather Brown start

Bob had a few good touches today but all too often looks slow and unwilling to track brack.

Jury is still out, there may be more to come from him, there may not be,.

I thought he had a great pre season. Looks like one of our better players, I rather have him on the wing than what we had there last season.

Would prefer Brown, better winger imo. Brown can also take very good corners and free kicks, something we lacked today.

He is a winger who until now has showed little or no sign of being able to do things a winger should do; i.e. run quickly, take on the full back, cross the ball...
