And the editor (if you can call him that, what with his problem with spelling) of the website. I see the car one has already been used up today ... how long before they start using songs from the band?

 At the carwash

Come summer the work gets kind a hard
This ain't no place to be if ya planned on being a star.
Let me tell you it's always cool
And the boss don't mind sometimes if ya act a fool

 or maybe Wanborough

Have Swindon actually completed the signing of Brownlie or is it still at the negotiation phase?

Official site states it has not completed - noted, they are slow in updating.

What about Phil Smith? Did he agree terms in the end?

I'm not making a judgement yet.  Looked useful in the friendlies, but thats not the test of a good player.  This is not a negative post/comment, just not getting too excited too soon.  Made that mistake too many times before.  Especially with Cureton and Thorpe..

On that basis, I apologise. I'll give you an Irish passport and a car bomb because you are ever so clearly Irish.

I'll reserve judgment too. I think that it's only right to be suspicious of an Aussie playing 'soccer'.

Then again, maybe he chose 'soccer' to avoid the attentions of chaps like John Hopoate...

I wonder what wise has planned for him. Two up front with him playing in the hole? Or drop the cock or roberts, or just start him on the bench?

Title: Royce In...
Post by: Doore on Thursday, July 27, 2006, 14:06:31
I suspect he will start on the bench, a good alternative option.  I think we weill end up starting 4-4-2, something along the lines of:

Brezhovan (sp.)

Smith
Ifil
Williams
Vincent

Shakes
Weston
Pook
Monkhouse

Roberts
Peacock

Subs:
Nicholas
Brown
Brownlie
Jutziewich (sp.)
P. Smith (GK)

Thats assuming Whalley and Gurney aren't fit for new season, and this big signing doesn't materialise.

Drop Pook, make Brownlie an attacking Midfielder behind the frontmen

Brezhovan (sp.)

Smith
Ifil
Williams
Vincent

Shakes
Weston
Monkhouse

Brownlie

Roberts
Peacock

Subs:
Nicholas
Brown
Pook
Jutziewich (sp.)
P. Smith (GK)

               Brezovan

Smith    Williams    Ifil    Vincent

                Weston

Shakes                       Monkhouse

               Brownlie

         Roberts     Peacock

No Weston is a playmaker he's got to be playing with a player that does all the dirty work for him, i like the idea of brownlie further forward but not at the expense of Weston...trust me  8)

I think Doore has the likely starting lineup spot on, assuming A.N. Other or Wise himself doesn't play.

My opinion. I think Weston has looked superb, but I worry about him an Pook in the middle together!

I'll reserve judgment too. I think that it's only right to be suspicious of an Aussie playing 'soccer'.

Sheilas, wogs and poofters.....

Exactly... but I think that it is only right to put that in quotes, and give Johnny Warren the credit.
