Who's going, and is the ground easy to get to?

Piece of piss to get to.

From Swindon, head down the A419. Get off at the junction marked 'Cirencester Industrial Area' (the one after the South Cerney turn off).

Go down that road until you get to a left turn for Siddington, on the opposite side of the road there's a turn for Preston ... go down there, ground is on your left. You can't miss it. Right next to my old school, Kingshill.

the parking is fucking awful. last year i ended up parking a fair old way down the road, up on the verge.

but yes i'll be there, without a doubt, with mr b.

Correct but note you aren't allowed to turn right there. You have to continue to the (Tesco) roundabout and do a U-turn (typical Kinghshill education not pointing that out :)).

Parking will be on a field next to the ground. It is adequet I suppose.

I hope the air tattoo traffic will be largely reduced by 11:30/12pm. Going home should be fine at 3-3:30. The A 419 is normally segragated into two lanes, one for 'tattoo traffic' and one for 'all other traffic'

To be honest, if you're worried about parking, go to North Home Road behind it ... park there ... and walk a few hundred yards. You can get behind the houses if you walk right to the end of the road and follow the footpath.

if you are planning to actually go to this game and are coming from Swindon....avoid the a419 like death....

it will be ok, as mentioned above, 1 lane for air tatoo traffic, one for other destinations. Should be alright after the fairford turning too

To be honest, it can get pretty bad down there. Personally if I were going from Swindon I'd go via Bassett and Ashton Keynes ... but that's just me :-)

The road comes out on the Preston Tollbar - which is the turning you want for the ground.

Why avoid A419. As said earlier its segregated into tatoo traffic and normal traffic. I came out of Swindon last year around 10ish on airshow day and traffic was fine, a little slower than the usual 80 or so but generally ok.

The traffic wont bother me tho as its only a five min walk from my place, mucho beer consumption  :beers:

Traffic should be no problem. I've been from Ciren to Swindon this morning to get Pre Season tickets. Came out of Swindon about 10.15, was a bit slow just off the bottom of Blunsdon Hill, but that only lasted a few hundred yards till the first sign telling you to get into lane for Tatoo and normal traffic. After that easy peasy. Took all of about 2 mins longer than normal.
