You can get a flight on easy jet from Bristol to Newcastle for £28 leaving at 8.25am. Then returning Sunday at 7am for £12.

Cheapest I found was £43 return early Saturday morning and Back Sunday inc. Taxes from brsitol Airport with Easyjet!

I worked up there last year - its 5 hrs door-to-door (max) and a piss-easy drive.

Better airport is teesside but few airlines travel there.  

Newcastle is a 'mare of an airport and you'll spend a small fortune in taxis, buses/trains.

Looked into Tee-side but couldn't see much, especially from Brum and Bristol Airport.  Am selling my car so would have driven otherwise.

Can't sell it yet!  Will be needing to to commute! Decided Im moving back to Swindonia to save extra for OZ.  Garage, well needed new brake pads, new discs and a new caliper. Cost £193 for the lot.
