anyone else think that the new fixtures are a depressing sight.really brings home what a shit league we are in.
anything but a promotion charge will not be enough in my opinion.i just hope some quality players are coming in to get us out of it

its a bloody long way to some of those too.  Rovers away second last game of the season is a bit like this  season !

it wasn't exactly a surprise.

I quite like it as there are quite a few grounds I have not been to, such as:

Rochdale
Macclesfield
Chester
Accrington
Darlington

I also believe we will go charging through the league like a rampaging, unstoppable, enraged rhino which has just been stung by a wasp and is allergic to wasp stings.

So for that reason I am quite looking forward to it. 8)

I believe so, I used to work part time in FCUK on Bridge Street a little way up from there but I must admit it was a little off our normal drinking route so I don't remember ever going in.   Although that doesn't mean much.

Refurbished last year by all accounts and owned by my local brewery so it’s been restored back to a traditional real ale pub.  Something you’d be hard pushed to find a couple of years ago in Chester.

Good to know its still going...when I used to go in there, it attracted what might be termed a Bohemian crowd.  But pubs can change out of all recognition and the clientele move on, so you'd never now what it was like once.

  Not been to the Deva Stadium....doesn't exactly sound like a magnet though

There's a lot of plastic fantastic bars in Chester soiling some great old fashioned buildings in the centre of Chester.  You do need to get off the beaten route a bit for a decent pint especially at weekends when you get hordes coming in from the surrounding towns.

AS for the Diva is a hole to be honest.  Used to live a mile or so away on the Welsh border that cuts through Chester and it's a pretty desolate area it’s in.  Used to be particularly good though for Liverpool reserve matches though particularly against Everton.

Did I read once that only one side of the Deva Stadium is in England. As it is their main stand that means their postal address is in England which allowed them, when they were out of the League, to play in the Conference rather than the J T Hughes Sheepshaggers League?

Or did I just dream it all up? :roll:

It definately cuts through the Welsh border not sure about the sheepshagger league though as they only moved there in the early 90's.

The thing that depresses me is that I can go to about 8 games all season because of work. Although looking at the first month of fixtures made me cringe
