Title: This Sunday's Reading
Post by: Crozzer on Sunday, June 11, 2006, 03:50:15
For the second Sunday of June the reading comes from The Book of Clough Chapter 10, How To Manage a Football Club, page 159.

"I took charge of pre-season training because I believed it to be so important.  It's like taking the first steps on a long military campaign."

Here endeth the lesson.

If though should not a have a thorough pre-season, though shall play like a bunch of clueless donkeys, the manager will be sacked, and be relegated to the fiery pit of League II.  Cheltenham will be raised above you, and Grimsby away will be your fate.

Heed the warning.  A wise man will start pre-season training a week early.
