can someone give me a rundown of the new caps? Title: Oh dear, its the ODI team Post by: DMR on Thursday, June 8, 2006, 19:03:33 Jim Dalrymple is a handy bat, certainly scores quickly when he likes, I watched him get a big ton at Bristol a couple seasons back and he can chuck a few offies down if I remember.
Personally I think Ed Joyce would be playing for England if he was English, basically. Very talented and bats well with Dalrymple by all accounts. Alex Loudon's a very promising spinning all rounder who will play for test-side England, I think he was touted for India along with Monty? Glenn Chapple willl probably be similar to Lewis, I can't understand that move. Similar bowlers but Glenn will throw his bat about a bit more but he's a consistant county pro, but not an international. Never really folloed Timmy Bresnan, pretty inocuous in all likelihood. Loudon can bat i know that for sure. he has been developing his bowling and has been working on the "doosra" doubt whether he would spin it more than Monty though Title: Oh dear, its the ODI team Post by: Boeta on Friday, June 9, 2006, 13:21:53 Quote from: "sonic youth" cheers dave. will be interesting to see how loudon compares to monty (in relative terms. can he bat/field? loudon's primarily a batsman - a real class act at that, who has developed his bowling quite a bit over the last year |
