He's not underrated. He scores a few goals but his overrall contribution is very little and all too often he's pretty much anonymous.

Liverpool got completely ripped off at £14m, £4m is closer to his true worth and even that's high.

Harsh breaking his leg all the time though, especially on Liverpool who wanted to ship him out.

As were the other strikers for most of the season for Liverpool (discounting Fowler). Personally I don't think Cisse is over or under-rated, he has the ability but messes up too many chances.

Given that Chelsea paid shed loads more for Drogba, Cisse hasn't done too bad. He's not been a regular starter and has often made an impact when it mattered most.

Crouch was Liverpool's best striker this season by a mile, just ask Benitez. He certainly wasn't anonymous. Fowler when fit is not bad. Morientes was overrated as well.

Drogba was overpriced but he is much much better than Cisse.

Liverpool need to try and get Owen back, with Owen and Crouch up front they'd be genuine title contenders. According to the Guardian Cisse had pretty much been sold to Marseille, they must be gutted now they'll probably have to keep him.

If Cisse was in their starting lineup France really have gone downhill. Trezeguet is probably past his best, Saha isn't great and neither is Anelka so the competition isn't super high. He was played on the wing because as striker he was poor.

Notice how the fee talked about here, http://football.guardian.co.uk/News_Story/0,,1791847,00.html is £7m max and would probably have been lower. His value has gone down loads. He was on the bench half the time because he wasn't good enough for Liverpool's first team.

He's probably more suited to the French league than the premiership because it's a lot weaker.

I for once, quite agree....however Liverpool fans really dislike him and cant wait to see the back of him. Seems the manager agrees with them....but say what you like about him, he scored goals....more so than Liverpools other strikers...

Liverpool fans should know, they see him play every week. He's got 13 goals in 49 premiership games which would be ok if he offered anything else to the team but as it is he's pretty average.

Still a better league game/goal ratio than Crouchy though, who managed 8 in 37.

But the difference is Crouch offers much more to the team, it's his hold up play that puts him ahead, he allows them to keep possession and lets players like Gerrard have more time on the ball by winning everything in the air and then laying it off.

Cisse is one of those annoying players wo will contribute fuck all to a game then score the winner. A bit like Owen these days to be honest, just not as good at it.
