I'm doing my finals at uni. It's a bit harsh you finish on the 15th though. I'm done on friday and that's quite late compared to most people.

What are you going to be doing afterward STFC11?

A levels or work? Any plans for uni at all, don't let the old farts with jobs beat you down about being a slacker

Im going to new college to do photography, sociology and ICT A levels and I’m taking a one hour a week sports coaching course and journalism course

Im not sure about uni I guess i'll look into it when im at college see what I enjoy. I’ve got quite a few future ideas: sports photographer, journalist, sports coach or designing websites/magazines so i'll see if I can get into those when I leave college or look towards uni, im not set on anything at the moment though.

Arrrgggh not ICT at New College  :?

It's probably all different now, but when I went that course was a nightmare.

Uni is sound, but I wouldn't fancy those extortionate fees now. I'm glad I've done it though, will hopefully get a good grade when I graduate and I now have a job lined up which I wouldn't have got without a degree (or another 2 years training which I couldn't be bothered to do). Add to that the drunken outings, the friends you meet and the experience of living away, I can't believe I didn't want to do it when I first started my A-Levels.

I only chose ICT because i couldn't think of anything else to do! I asked the person who was doing the interview did the course do web design and she said no..i looked over the information sheet and basically every coursework was web design, silly woman!

You would assume so, wouldn't you ?  Maybe an attempt by the government to make it look like more people were passing than was actually the case.  I deserved less to be honest.

Stfc11 - A friend on mine spelt his name in his A level mocks(BEN), and another lad managed DUNCE after re-takes :smile1:

I fumbled through my GCSE's, A Levels and a HND with my usual lack of motivation and putting in just enough effort to do ok.

3 A's and a B at GCSE, 1 B at A Level and a Distinction HND in Business and Finance.  Could have gone on to do a 1 year top up for a degree (and would probably have got a 2:1) but just couldn't be arsed with it.  Education was far too factual and not practical enough.

I have continued this lack of enthusiasm though the first 13 years of my working life!!!

Chap in Liverpool has just been busted for selling GSCE's.

Although you can still get hold of them pretty easily and the best part is very few employers know how to verify them even if they tried.   8)

Damn right they're easy Johno, but there is a reason....back when I did the GCE, the idea was to weed out  the top 10%, for further education and then higher education....none of the 50% shit you get now, with degrees in watching films.

Papers were 3 hours long in the 8 or 9 subjects required, with 2 papers  in some of the more stringent subjects like Chemistry and Physics and Latin. :old:

My GCSE's were crap in comparison to most mentioned on here. Mine ranged from A-E! Mostly C's and D's - can't remember specifics as it was 6 years ago when I got them.

I got to University without a C or Above in Maths so I consider that beating the system  :soapy tit wank:
