When 1984 came along, it was one of those years which was supposed to have a resonance due to the Orwell book....Bowie did a portentious piece on his Diamond Dogs album in the early 70's.

It was a bit disappointing that nothing happened......I recall a piece of graffiti, I saw in the year of the punk 1976, which read.... 1976 makes 1984 look like 1967.

1976 was recently proclaimed to have been the best year of the 20th Century.

This is a bit wierd to watch. He knows he had a baby girl before the coma, but can't understand that the girl that's there now is his daughter, but nineteen years on.

He's still got the sexual urges of a nineteen year old man and she's obviously pretty uncomfortable with some of the stuff he says - not knowing she's his own daughter!

I wanted to watch that programme, watched the Tribe programme instead which wasn't as lively as usual.  But that's for another thread.
