Title: Michael Jackson?
Post by: Dazzza on Monday, January 31, 2005, 19:56:25
He hasn't been black since the Commodores but is he guilty as Barrymore in a swimming pool?

He’s a bloody fruit loop though I’ll say that for free.

I’d love to see him get the chair.

Nowt against him and tbh, doubt if too much of the charges stand. Money does strange things to memories, even little kids memories.

He certainly isn;t the full biscuit though.

As much as I'd like him to be innocent, I just can't see it happening. What a waste of an amazing talent

That blokes a walking freak show.

You can buy yourself 'justice' in America, so I doubt we'll ever really know whether he did or he didn't.

Two words - OJ Simpson. Guilty as hell and he walked. Can see the same happening here.

it could do, but if he does it won't be because he's paid somebody off!

Exactly. You buy the best lawyers and you're walking free.

It would be if I'd have put a space between O and J, or spelt out Orenthal James in full. Any relation OJ? Fucking smart arse  :D

You've just put three people's opinions into a post and pretended it's your original opinion!

I wonder do they have special wings for sex offenders in the US, like they do here.  I'm sure they do, but then Jeffrey Dalhmer got carved up.  Nothing unusual for Mikey I suppose.

If we'll never know whether he is guilty or not - should we lock him up just in case to protect other children?

Discuss.

(personally i think he's guilty as hell but the boy's mother knew and didn't prevent it so she could sue - apparently she's a bit mental and has tried to sue lots of other people in the past)

She's American. Everyone tries to sue anyone for anything out there!

I assume this statement has been made with tongue firnly in cheek.

Otherwise, it would make a complete and utter mockery of the system and tear away the last threads of decent principles in the American (or indeed any other) justice system. It'll all be case of 'Yeah he raped me, send him to prison,' 'Oh ok, if you say so.' We'd all end up living in prison so then we might as well knock down all prisons and have a big free for all (survival of the fittest and all that).

My statement was, in fact, based on your statement that we'll never know 'cos he'll buy the best defence money can buy.. so if that's the case and we'll never know the truth - should he be free to walk the streets / look after his own children/ other people's children - what's the most prudent solution?

I don't know the answer that's why I was asking...

Unfortunately there is no solution to improve the justice system in this respect (as far as I can think). Like I said you can't just put someone in prison because someone says that they've committed a crime.

So he admits to sleeping with other people's children but denies touching them.

Several kids' opinions vs that of a very rich adult.

Who should we believe?

Is sleeping with other people's children acceptable behaviour for  an adult?

Unless you can prove that he's actually committed a crime, you can't send him to prison.

"Is sleeping with other people's children acceptable behaviour for an adult?" No, but nor is it an offence worthy of putting someone into our overflowing prisons, in my opinion.

I wanna see him sent down.  Then he'll be a real Smooth Criminal and although he'll ask the 18 stone rapist to "leave me alone" the sex starved  animal will really make Wacko Scream.
