Title: The Bullring, Birmingham Post by: Sippo on Wednesday, May 24, 2006, 17:49:07 Maybe Magic's the best person to ask about this, but is it any good shopping wise? Is it worth the trip up, or is it worth going to somewhere like Bluewater?
Advise please!! Ta. Title: The Bullring, Birmingham Post by: Reg Smeeton on Wednesday, May 24, 2006, 19:38:17 I thought it had got knocked down....on checking, it was then rebuilt.
I recall going to an away game at Fellows Park in 66, as a youth, and going to the brand spanking new Bull Ring....which was of course state of the art 60's brutalist architecture. Quite exciting for Swindon boy.....this was a time when buying a pair of Levi's was not possible in Swindon.. We got beat 5-0...3 down in 15 minutes, some things don't change. Have a look on there. One of my friends went earlier in the year and she thought it was good; that's all I know though. Title: The Bullring, Birmingham Post by: Spud on Wednesday, May 24, 2006, 19:47:37 I went there last year and thought it was ok, the gf just said she thinks its good and she's more of an expert than me.
Im off to Cribbs Causeway on Saturday to spend my nice little bonus. 8) Title: The Bullring, Birmingham Post by: Sippo on Wednesday, May 24, 2006, 20:11:20 See I don't rate Cribbs Causeway. I prefer Bath, but its a nightmare for parking and not undercover! :x

Ta. to be honest i think the bullring is ace. it is massive and is full of nearlly every shop you need. some top stores in there for clothes too. much better than what it was years ago and the rest of the centre has improved 300% compared to what it was like 15 years ago and it's still improving well worth the trip Title: The Bullring, Birmingham Post by: Sippo on Thursday, May 25, 2006, 07:47:49 Cheers mate- knew you wouldn't let me down! What's it like driving to? Probably be on a friday i go.
Title: The Bullring, Birmingham Post by: magicroundabout on Thursday, May 25, 2006, 08:09:13 if it's during the day you wont have a problem.
if your coming from swindon get off at J4 of M5 and head North up the A38(Bristol Road). that road will take ou straight into the centre and signs for the Bullring will be everywhere. Might be worth heading over to the Mail Box for some designer shops and a few nice resturants for lunch etc. Only a 10 min walk away. Title: The Bullring, Birmingham Post by: larwood on Thursday, May 25, 2006, 08:10:16 This is such a girly thread :soapy tit wank: oh,is this a good place to go shopping.

Title: The Bullring, Birmingham Post by: Sade on Thursday, May 25, 2006, 08:36:11 The only time I've been shopping in Birmingham was at the NEC fashion weekend. I must go shopping there properly one day. Although I tend to do mine in either Bath or Bristol. Bristols very good for shopping. I got tonnes of bargains in primarks the other weekend :)

Title: The Bullring, Birmingham Post by: magicroundabout on Thursday, May 25, 2006, 09:28:16 Quote from: "quinnismyhero" Why do the Dudley locals call it Merry Hell? Is it good or crap? basically it's because of the trouble it causes with congestion. The centre/shops etc are all excellent it's just getting a parking space and then trying to get out of the place. over the past couple of years they have added new signals and parking but it's still a nightmere to get out of. Advice is to stay away at christmas too. everywhere grounds to a halt. glad i can walk there Title: The Bullring, Birmingham Post by: quinnismyhero on Thursday, May 25, 2006, 09:42:02 Like Cribbs Causeway - I went there once and sat for 2 hrs in a jam and tryin to find a parking space. Well some of the ones I know do. They hate being dragged around shops by their girlfriends and either get their mum or their girlfriend to buy their clothes for them which is not good. Lazy.
