Forgetting the premiership and play-offs over the years, I've never had that problem with my beloved STFC!

whats the arkells like these days? have been over that way since the premiership !

Got mine because i love this club no matter what league they're in.

I guess many on here will say its OK - I sat there against Forest last season for the first time in years and was soulless.  Good for a different view.

are the facilities underneath the same crap they had before the premiership? so long ago now i cant really remember. and yes, the arkells is crap for atmosphere! but the nationwide these days isnt much better

I might be getting a season ticket in the arkells, but I have to see whether I can afford it yet. Whatever happens I know I will be at every single home game, it just might work out easier if I pay on the day every weekend. Same seats, behind the wall near dave the steward or whatever he is called  8)  He's super wickid. My sister and dad have already got theirs.

I wanted to sit in the nationwide this season, just for a change like but No one else wanted to move stands with me so I though feck it  :(

Got mine today. Yipppeeeeee. Always was going to get one but now Power, Wise and Poyet are on board it's even better.

Also picked up a yet to be rearranged 'fans forum' ticket (just in case :)) and put a tenner deposit on the £32.99 priced Away shirt (more expensive because it has '100 year anniversary' on it???).

I'm planning to get to every game once I start working but I won't be getting a season ticket. Unfortunately I don't start work until 24th August so I might have to get a temp job or borrow money from a loanshark

i'm intending to get one for the arkells, which was my intention pre-wise but it's looking unlikely due to my car slowly falling apart

Well according to the official site it because of Option 2 that they're opening the ticket office on Saturday and Monday

Renewed today for the Town End.

5 kids and 1 bloke (all new season ticket holders) were in front of me getting season tickets.

I lived in & around the town and watched Swindon for many, many years. I now live in London so coming to a home game costs me over £60 minimum in just travel & ticket, hence I go to more away games, new grounds and all that. I don't know if any of you travel far but I reckon that home fans who want to come and live more than a certain radius, mileage (and can prove it) away from the ground should be able to buy slightly discounted tickets, season tickets so it is more feasable for them to come and support the team Surely a small discount is worth it to get bums on seats and people behind the team?!

No personal offence to you but as a Swindon resident it would piss me off that I have to pay more to support the local football team than ex pats.

There is also the question of how far away you would have to live to qualify as large sections of our hardcore support live in O*fordshire, southern wilts tc.

I yoyo between living in West London and Sussex so I'm still debating getting a season ticket.  I'm very tempted, but if my funds run low I've still got the vice of "having" to travel down to Swindon to watch a game, which costs me on average about £20 in petrol.

£60 with train, tube, and matchday ticket is what I mean! You're right I should get a car again probably!

There used to be a london Swindon supporters club or something I think.Why not post a message for a lift /car share on the various sites, theres loads of Town fans up there that would be more than willing to share travel costs.

I'm expecting it to be busy tomorrow :( i don't have much choice though,Saturdays the only time i can come in.

Got mine this after....the ticket office was busy...loads of NEW customers...had both men in there working through lunch and club shop staff answering the ticket office phones.

Also while I was there they were abouts to put a note on the web site saying you can fax because phones are busy.

Also the club shop was fairly busy as well....

fucking mental! queing at Swindon...thats a rare!

It's killing me now, knowing that my ticket is in the drawer in the kitchen I just want the season to start...........................

I'm renewing my season ticket in the town end. Will miss the early bird deadline now because only just got some money in but still only works out an extra £1 per game over the season. Really optimistic now about the new season. Sounds like there will be reasonable attendances.

When a team goes down normally attendences drop, haha looks like it's all looking good for the club and hopefully promotion next season.

The attendances should be fine as long as we do alright, only need to worry if we struggle. A winning team attracts fans back whatever division you're in, with cheaper tickets as well hopefully the average attendance will go up.
