It's nothing like Curo. In the picture he's still holding his toys, not throwing them out of his pram.

Childish as this may be, I have to say Peacock is by far my favourite Town player at the moment.

Anyone come up with a good song for him yet? I was singing 'we all dream of a team of Lee Peacocks' (Yellow submarine) at work the other day. It sort of works.

I know what you mean. As a man nearing 30 I really should be past hero worshipping footballers.

You have to love his work rate, commitment and strength though. Takes a real man to try playing with a knee that stops working altogether when it feels like it.  Not like puffs such as migs who'd spend 3 months out with a grazed shin.

The reason I like peacock so much, is the fact that he has not even been here at swindon long yet he has already bonded loads with the supporters and showed that he has time for them. I've also heard that he's told numerous people that he will be scoring lots of goals next season, which for us is excellent to hear. Makes us feel better about next season and also shows us that peacock is confident and wants us to do well. He's such a nice guy. I'd absolutely love it if he was our top goal scorer next season as city fans have been telling me he'll be useless. Which I know for a fact is them just being jealous  :)  Lee peeeeeeeacock wooooah.

A friend of mine is one of his closest friends.  He seems to have a lot of good things to say like he wants to do well, be fit for next season and really break properly into the first team.

He certainly has the right attitude,, lets hope that he does well for us next season.

He doesn't really have a choice does he? Dumped by Sheff Wed - he needs to get his career on track and find a team to settle with. This is by no means a criticism, in fact I applaud Peacock for recognising this fact rather than adopting a prima dona attitude that most footballers seem to have these days.

I doubt it would catch on, but he is a big Rangers fan. Was trying to change the words to some of their songs to fit his name in. To the tune of 'theres never been a team like the Glasgow Rangers'. Swindons never had a striker like our boy Lee Peacock?

Super Lee Peacock, the Town End sings your name,
Swindon boys are on the up a-gain!

(Not about Peacock, sorry - also requires Basset to join up too in order to work :? )

With Power and with Devlin at Swindons helm
No-one can take us we are Swindon town
With Wise and with Poyet and now Basset too
We wont go the way of the yellow and blue
In red and in white we'd take you in a fight
We're Swindon, we're Swindon we are Swindon Town

as a fan, all I ask is a bit of effort and commitment, he showed me more effort and commitment in his debut 20 minutes than most of those other bastards did the whole fucking season.

Lets not also forget, he said he would stay no matter what and so far has been true to his word....no talk of him going anywhere.

i like Peacock, his work rate is second to none and wins alot in the air but to be honest he hasnt exactly set the world alight with his goalscoring, which at the end of the day is what we need him to do

The fact he is committed means a lot more to me though. Fallon scored goals and all people can do is slag him off. Its the things you say, the work rate and the impression you give just as much as the final results. We went to City and Cureton cam eon and won balls in the box, nearly won us the game.

All people did was salg him off and I was much happier with Lukas even though he had hardly had a decent chance.

Considering he was injured for a lot of the games he played and spent most of the time running around trying to cover for the midfield, I'm not overly bothered he only scored 2.

Never have I seen a player that commited.

the harder you work the better you are...

Yes, Steve Robinson worked his bollocks off, he wasnt overally talented it but I would have had him in my midfield ahead of most of the others anyday of the week.

Infact we missed his hard work in the middle of the park this season....we would have been a better team with him, shouldnt have got rid

of course you need a few hard working donkeys that make you wonder football is a spectator sport to be a half decent side. but its flair players like curo and migs (for eg.) which any side needs to have to be at the top end of the table. they may infuriate at times but they can deliver what no-one else can

I don't think he under-performed, but I am totally bemused by his god-like status here already.  Yes he works hard, and that is appreciated and admirable.  But it is results that matter.  We have yet to see Peacock have a decent run in the side because of this worrisome injury, so surely the jury is still out on him.

You have to take some positives out of last season even if there are only one or two.  He has not played a major part yet however when he came on, he showed far more commitment, effort and passion than any of those other afraid to tackle, lacklustre so called footballers. Its the footballers with both a good attitude AND ability that give them their status, also giving them a positive backing from their fan base.

Peacock gets God like status because he is a born leader of men.

Comparing him to Turbo is stupid. Peacock has a bit of class about him as well. He works his socks off and battles his heart out. He played on for us with a knee that needed surgery. And he was one of the only players who stood up and was counted outside the North stand after the Brentford game. Overall he's a class act. I know once he is free from injury trouble he will become a real favourite with all Swindon fans.

Sadly I thought Peacocks finest hour was his first appearance against Bornmuff when he scored. Look lively, aggresive and although the goal was due to a "Dodgy Keeper" he was in the right place at the right time.
