Title: Juventus Post by: STFC Village on Friday, May 12, 2006, 11:22:32 Have been caught match-fixing after their phone was tapped. The whole Juve board have resigned as a result, with potential consequences for Juventus, such as dropping points, or even relegation

I wonder if any other clubs were involved? Title: Juventus Post by: OOH! SHAUN TAYLOR on Friday, May 12, 2006, 11:44:54 Those f******* wops couldn't lie straight in bed
Title: Juventus Post by: timmyg on Friday, May 12, 2006, 12:01:47 The trouble is that by past precedent (it happens quite a lot over here) they should really be relegated to Serie C1, but the authorities won't do that to the Old Lady.
I'm very suprised that there has been any information leaked to the press and at the information we're getting. All they have on the board is a call between Moggi (Managing Director) and the former head of referees (who is also a current referee selector) in which nothing conrete is talked about. There is some insinuation but nothing solid. The case goes on though, and I expect there's an awful lot more we haven't heard about. Moggi's son is the head of GEA, a player management firm, which loos after hundreds of players in Italy and the police were in fact monitoring suspected suspicious activity by HIM when they stumbled upon Luciano chatting to the ref. I'dlove to see them bumoed down to C1. Get them into the Stadio del Conero and facing the mighty Ancona. (If we get promoted from C2) Title: Juventus Post by: OOH! SHAUN TAYLOR on Friday, May 12, 2006, 12:17:02 Well they've done it to Fiorentina and Genoa in recent years and they're both pretty big clubs. It will be hillarious if Juve get done as they should do 8)
Title: Juventus Post by: Reg Smeeton on Friday, May 12, 2006, 19:58:12 Juventus have a list of dodgy stuff as long as your arm, but nothing will happen to them.....in the same way we got shat on, but other clubs who have done bungs and illegal payments have got off.

I know. The old duffers at the FA must have been creaming themselves when we got caught 'with our trousers down' (easy Sonic!). I bet they thought "Oooooh, let's fuck these village idiots good!" And that's exactly what they did. Title: Juventus Post by: pauld on Saturday, May 13, 2006, 00:36:19 Apparently the police have now raided the HQ of the IFF (Italian Football Federation, like you didn't guess) as well investigating allegations of "sporting fraud" (presumably when you defraud someone, but in a thoroughly decent, as opposed to unsporting, manner!) which is a criminal offence in Italy. If any of that sticks, it would make it significantly harder for the football authorities to just sweep it under the carpet with a fine or whatever.
