He is funny on big brothers big mouth or whatever it is, but is still quite annoying if on for more than 30 mins!!

Since 2006 I have read his book, watched his stand up (which takes a little while to get going but is very good) and watched Ponderland.

My conclusion is that Mr Brand is indeed a very funny bloke.  His Ponderland about love was on last night (repeat I know) and the bit where he goes on about the old dear dropping a glove was brilliant.

Irritant no more, Russ is the kiddy.  Or have I been brainwashed?

You can add me to the brainwashed list.  I've seen him live doing his stand-up and read his book and he’s a very funny bloke.

The stand-up is a lot different to the hyper presenting he’s done on channel 4 and he’s clever and creative with  material and over the space of 90 minutes it really flows well unlike the segements he does on TV.

Well worth a look.

Definitely brainwashed. I watched ponderland for 20 minutes, the material was quite good but ruined by Brand's delivery. I wanted to Punch him (with a capital P). Hard.

Needless to say I turned over at that point.

That's it in a nutshell, he IS actually quite funny (as in his material is) but he is also one of the most irritating twats to walk God's good earth (and I'm including myself in that). If he could get a decent comic who didn't look like he wanted to lick himself for being so "oooooh" all the time to deliver his material, it'd be fine. As it is, I'm with Batch and the "reaching for my knuckleduster" brigade
