....Come on then, give us a Reggie Smeeton reality check.  Tell us why we shouldn't be jumping up and down about Mr Power.

We all know that with STFC, every silver lining has a cloud so go ahead....piss on our parade! 8)

On the surface it looks to be good news....we were seemingly heading out of business by the end of next season, and it looks like his mill will stall that happening.

Nevertheless, can't help wonder why a QPR fan would  give us cash?

Clearly he's a confrere of Mark D, and presumably trusts him to run the club........seeing as how he was chairman at QPR, you'd expect him to want to front up here as well.....probably wanting his own manager, I'd be very surprised if Iffy is kept on.

The Hollowhead connection  becomes more likely.....

If as QPR fans say he's a man of the people, lets hope some of our more intolerent fans are prepared to give the fella a bit of time before we might start to see progress.

I think that a lot of dodgy stuff went on at QPR. He is probably quite hacked off about it, and wants another chance to get involved and do something in football. Devlin gives him a route in, and is probably someone that he trusts.

Looks like Iffy will be here next season according to the interview on the radio, unless he resigns.

I think that they would have been foolish to suggest anything otherwise in the first public statement on the issue.

I would be surprised if Iffy is still in his current role at the start of next season. I think that the best case scenario for him is that he remains manager, but someone is brought in above him.

Bit of a shame for him really.

If Mr Power does read these forums, he will see that there is no consensus about which players are worth keeping and which are shite, hardly anyone agrees on the two sites. Perhaps Evans is  the exception.

Therefore, he and the Board and Iffy need to be cut some slack while they make the decisions, and I hope we are patient while we hopefully go forward.

Most investors like Mr Powers goes for struggling club (to be fair we are) and they want to get it back on it's feet and do the best for it. You can only look at what John Madjeski did with reading which has worked. Lets just hope in about 5-10 years time you'll see us going up against Championship or even Premiership sides.

Yep but some like Terry Brady sniff around for a bit of an opportunity, discover STFC is a dead duck and swan (see what I did there) off back to their original club, where they're happy to at least watch some decent football for their wedge.

I'll not pass any judgement on Mr Power until he's had a decent opportunity to show his intentions for his new toy.

Before that he'll have a gander around the place, goose some of the bar staff, have a lark with the lads, fly a few kites about future plans, and chicken out when he realises he's dealing with a set of bustards.

Terry Brady wanted to build a stadium but also build houses so he could make his MONEY. Who gets in the way? The fucking council YET AGAIN. "can't build on that land there are precious newts!"

Yet there are plans in place to build houses on that land now!

Fucking council have never done anything for this football club! End off.

I hope Devlin gets his wishes and gets us a new stadium with facilities to earn us much needed revenue away from football. Then we can move forward and give this town what it deserves - a decent football team in the 2nd tier of the football league.

Sorry Dunc, but you're just wrong....SBC bent over backwards for Brady, just as they'll always do for a passing multinational...which effectively Brady was fronting up.

Terry though wasn't prepared to hang around for 5 or 6 years, had he done so he could be having his stadium soon.

Wasn't it also to do with a fall out with D&B?

No idea about the internal relationships in STPL, but Brady went to SBC and sought preferred developer status, which he was granted, but then sought further incentives from SBC which were illegal and fucked off. Quoting problems with D and B.
