Title: This Afternoon
Post by: Ralphy on Tuesday, April 25, 2006, 15:15:03
I'm cooking a lovelly Pork stew like dish  :D

Started off with 3 pork stock cubes and half a litre of cider in a big pot and got it bubbling. Then added another half litre of cider and bring to the boil and put a side on a low heat.

Meanwhile, fry some diced fillet pork or belly pork in some butter, fresh ginger, garlic and black peppercorns until golden. Then add 2-3 tablespoons of honey to the frying pan with the pork in and heat for a few mins. Then add 2-3 tablespoons of wholegrain mustard and heat through stirring constantly.

While the pork is cooking slowly, chop your chosen veg up.

I used leak, parsnips, carrot and corqette (sp)

Chuck the veg in the pot with your cider in and also bung in 2 cans of chopped tomatoes and 1 small can of tomato puree. heat up.

Chuck the whole contains of your frying pan (pork, honey, mustard, garlic, ginger, pepper, butter) into your pot and stirr well.

Leave to simmer away for a good 3 hours and done!  8)

Serve with dumplings with chopped apricot and apple in them.

Not bad for my own recipe.

Yeah, big shame.

A Russian kid bought them a few years back and now wants to move his empire elsewhere.

One of the last great British carmakers still building here.

We picked a bloke up who had crashed his TVR ,10 minutes after having bought it for cash after saving up for 5 years. He was crying his eyes out.

That story always makes me feel happy.

Their bloody lethal cars, so easy to crash.

No airbags, no traction control, no ABS, just a thumping great 4 litre engine and a fibreglass body!

Sorry...meant in the dry in a straight line!
I went in a 60's one with only a Cortina engine in it and still rather go pillion on a R9 ridden by a drunk - would be safer.
They look cool tho'!

English isn't too strong though Ralphy - been sniffing exhausts again?

Why would knowing a cheff (sic) make you a good cook?
