Title: my swansea post (better than everyone elses)
Post by: strooood on Wednesday, April 12, 2006, 11:50:36
OK firstly,

errrr, cant remember what was going to be first.
oh yea
chris mcphee? morelike chris mcreallyreallyshit. is he THE most pointless football player ever? ok you can complain about lack of service (wasn't all that bad first half) but i still expect to see strikers put themselves about a bit, especially given it was his first start. what a cunt.

secondly, trundle really is a class above, ok he missed a couple of chances, but his enthusiasm, passion and obviously his ability just pulls all their other useless mugs through rainy tuesday night games. no one for us fancied doing it.

aaron brown, run, just once. please?

lukas blahblahblah looked good, caused a few problems and got into good positions particularly when he got round their centre halfs and put in a couple of crosses. that said, peacock going off really hurt us. he's well good he is.

i found it very difficult to drag myself away from the half time beers infront of TVs showing the game in the concourses. but did eventually.

they've got shit fans.

i think someone died in the first half  :(

the whole occasion reminded me of hull away, flatpack stadium with fans wearing shirts over hoodies singing shit songs once every 10 minutes. gimme ninnian park and a snarling cardiff mob over them melts anyday of the week.

OUR FUCKING FANS GRRRRRRRR. behind us was the fast singing brigade, who found it beyond their means to sing a song without speeding up to the point in which they can't actually get all the words out properly.
when you can't even co-ordinate an eng-gur-lund chant properly you know something's wrong.

if a welsh team sings "2-1 to the sheepshaggers" dont reply with "sheep sheep sheepshaggers" it makes you look like a bunch of fools, which is probably about accurate actually.

fallon looks the same player he did for us, bit rubbish.

we're probably going down but maybe not, walsall hartlepool and rotheram areall as shit as us. we can't all go down; one of them or us will have a huge slice of luck or a 'miracle' and you never know it might be us.

gotta win saturday. but we all know that.

Stroood were you their last night because i have a totally different view to you, with the exception of trundle and mcphee. Aaron Brown was superb last night didnt put a foot wrtong one of our better players certainley, Luca s looked incredibly raw and didnt get involved in the game at all, our fans wer fookin brilliant last night, however agree with the point about their fans and how exceptional Lee Trundle is.  Rant Over.

according to the official site mcphee was playing out wide. which is odd.

i thought he showed a couple of nice touches but that was it, so yes, he was a bit crap really.

the stadium seemed almost identical to hull, as did the atmosphere. good point.

Similar to Swansea I was up in Hull when the KC opened and 10k fans suddenly appeared out of the hovels.

At least you couldn't exactly call them Prawn sandwich brigade more a Donner Kebab new breed of fan.

I was quite impressed with the KC stadium though, a lot better than some of the lego they're putting up now.

Strange, some Swansea fans thought Aaron Brown was our only good player!

I wish we had a player like Trundle, who'd kiss the badge and raise his fists to the home fans after and during the games. A bit like what Mooney did.

Trundles an arrogant wanker, I'd be embarrassed to have a player like him.

I liked the way fallon and parkin used to get the crowd going though.

Say what you will about Trundle (although I leave the verbal blow jobs up to Tim Lovejoy), but to be fair he is a greedy bastard. As Gwah pointed out to me, near the end they were attacking and instead of passing it to Fallon, he decided to go himself. And the Swans fans were booing Trundle for that! I think they want their money's worth from Fallon  :Ride On Fatbury's Lovestick:

I don't remember either of them really getting the crowd going tbh. Like Tails said, Mooney did it and he was the last Swindon player who did.

I would love to have an arrogant wanker like him at STFC, At least he has some passion for his club, not like some of the wasters that are employed (play for would do them to much credit) By Swindon.

When Swansea scored the second he ran down the left hand stand touchline kissing the badge. He is a tosser, but id love to have a player like that who is prepared to really take part with the fans. Players that wind up opposition fans are great if they are playing for you.

I thought the home fans were OK. Certainly went nuts when the scored. The south stand doesnt look like that after Swindon score thats for sure. Our fans better than expected, good effort you lot up the top right corner there. All 15 year olds who 'fast chant' should be banned from football grounds for 3 years on Football Banning Order.
