Title: coxernator...... Post by: OOH! SHAUN TAYLOR on Wednesday, April 5, 2006, 16:21:08 ......What do you reckon to Dexter Jackson and Sam Adams? Both look like good signings to me. The fans over there seem quite excited about big Sam and I have to say I sure as hell would not argue with him.
Any idea who the back up QB will be? Title: coxernator...... Post by: pumbaa on Wednesday, April 5, 2006, 17:18:42 I know nothing about Dexter Jackson, so no comment.
Adams is a good signing, although he's pushing on in years. Should help shore up the Bengals defence against the running game, which was their achilles heel last year. QB situation is still unclear. Kitna's still on the books, Carson Palmer reckons he'll be fit for the start of the season. Who knows? Title: coxernator...... Post by: pumbaa on Wednesday, April 5, 2006, 17:23:05 Found him now.
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2366753 Sounds like a good signing to me, from that story. Title: coxernator...... Post by: OOH! SHAUN TAYLOR on Wednesday, April 5, 2006, 21:04:41 Kitna's gone to Detroit. Keep up man
Title: coxernator...... Post by: pumbaa on Thursday, April 6, 2006, 19:02:23 me bad  I promise to do better research next time.
They've signed a guy called Doug Johnson, latterly of the Tennessee Titans, looks like a backup option. They're still in the race for Joey Harrington of the Lions, but the Dolphins look favorites to get him. Title: coxernator...... Post by: OOH! SHAUN TAYLOR on Friday, April 7, 2006, 09:41:16 They've got a mofo of a schedule - Chiefs (a), Browns, who should be much improved in 06 (h) Steelers (a) Pats (h) followed by the NFC South trio of Bucs (a) and the Panthers and Falcons (h)
That is tough. They need one hell of a good back up QB or just hope the defence carries them through until Palmer gets back to fitness. Are you going to try to get to any games this season? Or will tickets be as rare as hens' teeth? Title: coxernator...... Post by: pumbaa on Friday, April 7, 2006, 13:25:51 Hopefully. Tickets are hard to come by, unless you want to be up in the gods (and if you've seen Paul Brown stadium, you're halfway to the pearly gates up there!). Normally cost around $100 a shot, plus they then charge you $85 to park  I shall never complain about being charged 5 quid to park for a footy game ever agin.
My boss is a Browns season ticket holder, and I was offered the chance to go last year, for free, which I had to turn down as my monster in law was arriving that day  With a fair wind I'll get another opportunity this year, but it won't be the same..... |
