Title: Should BrightonRed move back to Brighton? Post by: BrightonRed on Monday, March 27, 2006, 22:03:54 The opportunity has arisen for me to move back to Brighton where I spent 4 very enjoyable years at Uni.
I was gutted to leave but I thought it would be better financially to live rent-free for a while. This back-fired miserably as I spent months without work. Moving back is risky because money’s tight at the moment but I’ve got a job to walk into whenever I want, albeit on a lower wage. Should I go with the gut and move back regardless of the consequences. Or should I stick with the head and keep plugging away in the job market up here? *BrightonRed is not homophobic but understands this may affect the voting decision of others. Title: Should BrightonRed move back to Brighton? Post by: McLovin on Monday, March 27, 2006, 22:14:25 Hmmmm, i spent many enjoyable weekend down in Brighton when the ex-wife was at uni there for the past few years (you probably shagged her while i was back here). It's a great place with a lot more things on offer entertainment -wise. It was a bit expensive though, and housing/rent appeared to be pretty hefty.
If you can afford to live and have a laugh at the same time, why not go for it? if it all goes tits up, you come back here rent free. You might regrent not trying it. Title: Should BrightonRed move back to Brighton? Post by: Mexicano Rojo on Monday, March 27, 2006, 22:56:59 no fuck off.
and if you think you are getting a lift to games with me do one. Title: Should BrightonRed move back to Brighton? Post by: Simon Pieman on Monday, March 27, 2006, 23:41:40 Life's full of regrents
Title: Should BrightonRed move back to Brighton? Post by: STFC Village on Tuesday, March 28, 2006, 00:02:09 Rent free? Unless you're living with parents/family, i'd stay.

Although Sussex Uni was Walrus' first choice I think, so he must have been impressed with what he saw. They're both in Brighton so probably depends on the course more than anything. That reminds me, anyone remember Mex's thread where he was doing his club night at Sussex Uni and he was online with his laptop. Si Pi and a few others were suggesting songs for the dj to play. Ant and Decs 'lets get ready to rumble' got the biggest cheer of the night, absolute quality! Oooh someone go digging for it :D Title: Should BrightonRed move back to Brighton? Bournemoth's the other stand-out one in these fields too. Title: Should BrightonRed move back to Brighton? Post by: walrus on Tuesday, March 28, 2006, 21:52:53 Sussex uni is a bit prison-like in appearance and pretty modern - depends what you like from your uni. In hindsight it's probably better I didn't go as I'd have been too close to home, though it's a better uni than Brunel and I love Brighton's nightlife - even if I don't always have the best of luck when I'm out there!
