Title: Planet Earth Post by: Arriba on Thursday, March 30, 2006, 12:10:22 i would hope so.my grandmother is an example of having to pay until all her savings are gone.my grandfather and her worked hard to buy their own property,my grandad died many years ago and my nan lived alone until ill health forced her to sell up and move into a home for the elderly.she has to pay with the funds from her home which she would have wanted to pass on when she dies,as anyone would.yet those that never worked or saved for their own home get it all free,it disgusts me.elderly people are penalised at the moment for saving money.yet those that pay no tax and generally give nothing back to society get looked after.its discracefull
